This spot is always such a fun place to hit up especially when the weather is beautiful. Everything on the menu they make perfectly. Historic place that everyone loves in the neighborhood.
Summer is here and so is ice cream season. This Dairy Queen is a fixture of Lombard. It is popular among all Lombardians. We walk to the place, grab a Blizzard and either sit on the bench there, walk to Lilac Park, or just walk back home, while enjoying our ice cream. Service is great and fast. I have gone to this place for the past 8 years that I have lived in the area, and have never had bad service. Kids that work there are attentive and quick. Go visit, have an ice cream and support this small business.
This is the only dairy queen left that still makes chocolate sodas the correct(original) way. The chocolate syrup they use here reminds me of my childhood, and I love it. I drive from about 30 minutes away when we get ice cream to be able to come to this DQ. There are about 20 locations closer to home, but it's worth the drive & gas. I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't.

At the end of the day, it's just a Dairy Queen, but all the little extras make this a great stop.
It's at a great location. It's a historic building. The employees are all super nice, even when there's a crowd. Every treat they make is top notch (still just Dairy Queen, but about as good as you could expect to get). They also heavily support local kids sports teams, which is great as a village resident.
Really the only con is that there can be a long line sometimes. However, the long line is more indicative of the quality of the Dairy Queen, rather than slow service. There's also not a ton of parking, but it's in downtown Lombard, so that's part of the territory.
Definitely worth checking out, especially on a hot summer night.
Good ice cream and great service even on a busy day like the 4th of july
This is an old school dairy queen in the middle of downtown Lombard complete with the original neon sign. The employees are are always helpful and friendly, and the ice cream is consistently good. What's not to like?
This location is always on point! Staff is always friendly. I mistakenly went to the dq in Wheaton on Butterfield. Big mistake lol I will never stray again, learned my lesson!!
Nice location with great service. The place can use some shaded seating with tables.
