Stopped in for lunch since I was in the area for work and I’m so glad I did. The quality of the food, the spices and seasonings was gratefully unexpected. The authenticity in the recipes only comes from original dishes from overseas and you can even tell how much care and attention to detail is put into everything that come out of the kitchen. It’s menus like this that start franchises and I hope to see more of them open up.
WOW! Today I went to Shawarma Express with my family and me. I ordered the Chicken Shish Kabob Platter. It was so delicious and amazing! Chicken was tender and the sauces given made it taste better! Will DEFINITELY come again and get the same thing again!
Highly recommend Shawarma Express. They are one of the OG Mediterranean places in Chicagoland and their taste and quality has been consistently great. Go-to items include whole grilled chicken over rice (so fresh and good), mixed grill platter and their wraps. Spoke to Adham for the catering order and he was so accommodating and responsive. We ordered for 100 people and everyone loved the food. Thank you Adham!
Ordered chicken kufta kebab platter, good food with reasonable prices.
Picked up two grilled chicken with rice and the taste reminded me of the grilled chicken we had in Dubai. The food here is fresh, perfectly done - not overdone or undercooked.
Will drive 45 minutes again to get their food.

Moved beyond expectations
This little gem won’t disappoint you. The meat is fresh and high quality while the flavor is delicious. I could easily eat here several times a week. I accompanied my friend for iftar and upon arrival one of the owners or employees treated us both to a delicious homemade apricot dessert that was topped with pistachio. Andrea the woman who took our order was so kind and helpful. All in all you won’t be disappointed in the place. I would give shawarma express 10 stars if i could.
Was pretty good. I wish they added more spices or sauces or salad into the shawarmas and gyro wrap. Great service, wait time was expected as well for 4 people, and everything was clean and well presented food.
