If you are vegan and gluten-free, rejoice! There are baked goods here for you to enjoy. The coffee is reliably good, too.
My first experience with Sweetleaf was in Williamsburg. I wasn’t a fan of the service and atmosphere there. Because of that experience, I was hesitant to check out this location in my new neighborhood.
I am so happy I went! This is my new go-to place for coffee in my ‘hood.
The vibe in this location is great. I had great food options, great work space, and cheerful service by most of the employees. The bonus: it turns into a cocktails place in the evenings. I’m excited to come back and try that.
Pro tip: Ask for their coffee punch card. Just like in Williamsburg, they don’t offer it unless you request it. I’m not sure how many times you need to show up before it’s offered to you, so don’t wait. Get a free cup of coffee after buying 10 cups!
Nice vibe inside, tall ceilings and thoughtful interior. The barista service was pretty slow, but I was not in a rush. My matcha latte and halapeno cheddar bisquit were pretty standard. But I like this location as it is close to the waterfront so it is easy to grab a cup and walk two steps to the park.
The after hours cocktail bar is awesome. Super casual, great food menu, and good drinks.
Rocket Fuel is very good and refreshing.
Extremely convenient location 2 min from ferry station.
The service is not very friendly, I don't know what could be the reason, ran into the same problem in the different location.
This was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise, especially after attempting to go to the Record Lounge and having very mediocre drinks (but enjoyable tunes) there. I had a great bartender who was attentive to my and my husband’s tastes. His bar-back female assistant was also very sweet and the whole atmosphere was so chill. There were ebbs and flows but for the area, some place super close to where I grew up and whose Pricing Pills are difficult to swallow 😗, I found my experience here to be exceptional for the coffeehouse to turn into a lovely cocktail bar. Tonight, I also very much enjoyed the indulgence in a mixture of Latino ballads and cumbia and such. My bartender knew how to mix my Mezcal properly and served my huzzbies a proper pisco libation. I hope this offsets some reviews that could have prevented me from attending this joint.
My friend introduced me about this place as she’s familiar with the neighborhood.
As I stopped by, I started with margarita and wings. Later, I ordered Tacos. Drinks and foods were excellent. Specially the sauces that came along with tacos were amazing. Just the way I like, they were spicy and flavorful.
I’m definitely coming back when I happen to visit my friend’s place.
My favorite coffee shop w the best Java around!
We were looking for coffee a bit late in the day and found this place. The barista is pretty great, though the decaf was probably under extracted. The vibe was nice though, seems like a cute place to drink a little and maybe snack a little during their Taco Tuesdays.
“This place should be cancelled” is an incredibly childish deduction and quite frankly a lie. I’ve been here over a handful of times and everyone has treated me and the other customers with respect and made us great drinks. In fact , it’s the youthful & friendly bartenders that give the bar it’s amazing energy and the reason I keep coming back. It’s the entitled Karen’s that ruin the experience for me. <3 I recommend the passion fruit or the spicy margarita if you have taste!
Cute coffee place with a deceptively rustic interior (the outside looks like a modern apartment building). The coffee was great and the snacks were tasty. Well worth stopping by if you're looking for a caffeine hit in the area.
The Voodoo Child really tastes like in Asia, super sweet and tasty.
Service was just okay though
Edit: Careful though, it's quite an heavy
