We had an amazing reception from super friendly Sarah, the co-owner and chef’s wife. She gave me an insight on the restaurant’s history. I loved the eclectic decor of the place that back in a day used to be a garage. Parts of the ceiling are decoupaged with antique wall paper, custom woodwork and art deco antique light fixtures, theatrical style curtain cover the walls in the newer part of the restaurant. In the main room there is plenty of space between the tables unlike most of the eateries where it feels like people dine on top of each other. Menu: very nice wine list with libations from all over the planet list catered to any budget. My oysters, foie gras, duck and rhubarb pie were sooo good. All these was washed down with well chilled Cremant de Bordeaux. Next time I am trying at least three of their cocktails which sounded delicious. All desserts are super fresh and made on premises.
Fabulous meal and overall dining experience once again at M.wells. Service , food, and wine all excellent. Had Skirt steak with fries, chicory salad , oysters . All excellent . And the coconut cake is a must have. It was out of this world . friendly and attentive staff. M wells continues to be one of the best restaurant in LIC.
Amazing food, amazing service, cool decor. The service was amazing! Our waiter was so lovely and I could tell he was passionate about the food. And the FOOD. We had French onion soup, buttermilk salad and shared the bavette steak. Do not pass this place up! It’s incredible!
My family, friends, and I enjoyed their prefix menu which was really helpful in getting us all fed. They took great care of us all night and we had a wonderful dinner here. I really enjoyed the steak, the main cod cobbler, and the poutine dishes. I was also a fan of the milk punch cocktail.
What an incredible jewel tucked away in Long Island! Very friendly staff, attentive and charming. Food was absolutely amazing, and I'm told its an exact replica of the kind of food you would get in Quebec. We had oysters, two kinds of salad, the goat tagine, pumpkin duck, pork chops and a few other things that were all really flavorful, tasty and cooked to perfection. You absolutely have to make a trip to this incredible restaurant! 🥰

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Everyone I go, I struggle to pick my favorite dish of the night because everything is so well made. They’re very aware of dietary restrictions - when I mark gluten free on the reservation the server immediately tells me what on the menu can and can’t be accommodated. It is a seasonal menu and limited but every dish is incredible. The oysters are so fresh and the mignonette has a great balancing flavor. The Wagu steak melted in my mouth. The crab and uni omelette was like tasting the ocean. Excellent service, cocktails, wine choices, and ambiance. A must visit!
Finally got to try this spot. Solid food with solid beverage program. The burger is to die for. Duck au poivre is also amazing.
M. Wells is such a gem in the neighborhood!
Every time we go, each dish we order is always cooked phenomenally. They have their own unique vibe/ atmosphere which I can really appreciate and dig and service is fantastic. Pictures are of their duck, steak, and creamed spinach.

Such a unique find in our little neighborhood. Really cute side yard for a private patio dining feel, very cool interior dining room, great food, and nice cocktails. Very unique spot with great quality that isn’t a chain or done by a big guy trying to bring hundreds to the place, no, low key vibes perfect for a nice dining experience.
I really liked everything here. The food tasted delicious, the staff was super friendly, attentive, and really helped understand the food. The goat ragu had an impressive amount of meat, and the duck in the pumpkin was fun and tasty. I didn't love the tarte tatin, it was like a solid sweet block of apple, when I was hoping for more texture and caramelized notes.
