High quality Indian food that’s tucked away in one of the less busy areas of LIC. I’d definitely make the trek out here again since everything was delicious. Would highly recommended the biryani, the meat is absolutely delicious! The vibe inside is cozy and the food really hits the spot after a long day. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I’ve been here for lunch and dinner. The vibe/atmosphere for dinner is definitely cozier. The food is always really good here and the portion size is generous. The non-alcoholic beverage options are a bit limited but it’s not a big deal. It’s a nice casual spot. I’d recommend making a reservation especially for weekend dinner as it’s a little out of the way.

Had a great meal here for some spicy, authentic Indian food! Everything was delicious and the mango lassi was a great add (very thick and flavorful) our dinner. We ordered the Bheja Fry (fried goat brains) for appetizer, and Dilliwala Butter Chicken and Lucknow Dum Biryani (goat biryani) for the mains - recommend all! We also ordered the garlic naan which was delicious and goes really well with the butter chicken sauce. You’re in for extra treat if you enjoy spicy food! I would say the place was known for an Indian Canteen vibe (Adda means “a place where people hang out”), so the sitting areas are a bit cramped and you’re literally about to rub shoulders with your neighboring tables, which we didn’t particularly enjoy. The service was fast and attentive, but you just have to make sure you have an appointment with the place. (Last time we tried walking in without an appointment, the older gentleman in the restaurant was very dismissive and borderline rude, and did not even try to help us out with estimating waiting time etc.)

Arrrived 6:15 PM on a Friday and it was already buzzing with activity! They have 5-6 bar seats for walk ins, but reservations for tables are highly recommended if not even necessary!! Mango lassi: premade, thicc, cold, great! Would have loved a slightly larger serving side Goat brains: a very uncommon/scary dish. It was our first time and it was surprisingly pleasant! It just tastes like unknown meat. It is drowned in a delicious brown/spicy curry. It was crispier than we thought it would be and has a weird under note at the end. But honestly if no one told you what it was, you wouldn’t second guess it. Served with bread drowned in butter. Lamb chop: very good, tasty. I don’t frequent chops, and would have liked a larger serving side. But the taste and execution are 100 White rice: can’t get this wrong, can you? Butter chicken: this was actually weird. The sweetest butter chicken I have ever had (which is not ever sweet). Other than that, pretty plain jane. Would have preferred more meat. Goat biryani: Flavorful, large serving, interesting crust. A very experiential dish! Overall, a great tasting place. Not for the price conscious, though. Would go again with a large group to share small portions. Or maybe a good “treat yoself” kinda place. Also, don’t throw away your leftover curry/sauce! They have small takeout containers, perfect for taking the sauce home. Delicious over rice!

I visited Adda with my family a few weeks ago and had a pleasant experience. The interior is really cute and clean and we loved the old newspaper wall. It’s a cute spot for a date if you live in Queens but the rest of the neighborhood doesn’t have a lot going on. We came in with a reservation and were seated promptly in a little nook area. The menu has more than enough items to choose from if you are a meat eater or vegetarian - would not recommend this spot for vegans, and they also don’t really do accommodations although there are maybe two or three vegan options on the menu. Food: 4/5 - We were able to order a bunch of the small plates - Chili Cheese Toast, Vada Pav, and Szechuan Gobi (vegan). We got the Baingan Bharta from the large plate section as well. Overall the food was good, but not the best Indian food I have had in New York and a tad overpriced, especially for where it’s located. Loved the vada pav and the Chili Cheese Toast. We also got Mango Lassis - these were just okay. Super thick. Vibes: 4/5 - Very cute inside! Service: 4/5 - Decent enough service, and everyone seemed to be seated promptly Value: 3.5/5 - The food was good but as mentioned earlier, some dishes seemed overpriced for what they ended up being. Chili cheese toast was $15 for 2 thin pieces of bread cut in half. It was delicious, but still a reach lol. Overall: 4/5 - Food was decent - I would come back if I’m in the area or on the 7 but don't think I'm going to go out of my way.

Amazing experience. Great atmostphere. Some of the best food I have eaten ever. Best Indian food I've eaten, and best in NYC. Come here! And eat the butter curry and Biryani. You won't regret it

Pretty good Indian food in a nicely decorated restaurant. Most stuff on the menu is spicy, but it is not too bad. What surprised me is I sense a quite strong taste of fish sauce in the butter chicken, which is not usually the case. I'd say the main course portion is pretty big. Food comes out pretty fast after you order.

We were apprehensive as we entered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Inside it is indeed like a college town hangout. The menu is limited when compared with a typical Indian restaurant but the food is deee-licious. We had Lucknow Dum Biryani, Butter Chicken and several naans. Best of all, getting a reservation on Resy is relatively (!) easy when compared with their sister businesses - Dhamaka and Semma.

An interesting place, a little unusual take on Indian food. But honestly I had a little more expectation on them. Both of us visited for the dinner. The place is small on space, the tables are even smaller, and very closely packed. It’s more like an old charm restaurant cabin like feeling, with a casual and laid back vibe. The wall decor is pretty chic, and hip. The servers are not equally interesting though. They don’t laugh or talk much. Maybe they are too busy! I started with a tea, which was fine. We two shared the first course - batata puri, which was absolutely similar in taste as Dahi puri. The ingredients are fresh, and high quality. The next star in the first course was keema pav, arguably the best in the lot. The keema/ minced meat was terrific in color, taste, and aroma. We thoroughly enjoyed that with the side of buttered pav/ bread. Meanwhile we got a Mango lassi to drink. It was thick and fresh, however, not the best one in my life. Next, in the main course, the biriyani arrived! It was cooked in ‘Dum’ with a lid on top ( the lid was made with atta/ flour). We ordered the chicken one. However, this is not the best biriyani in my life! Not even a close!! Portion size was great. The biriyani was served with raita. The raita was fresh, and good. To me, the biriyani was more like a Hyderabad one with added mint and cilantro. The ‘Jangli mass’ which was a big feast of tender, juicy mutton curry was decent. Portion wise both of the dishes were nice. We finished the food and both of us were so full that we couldn’t think about any dessert to eat. So we skipped the dessert course. Overall, the concept and the food was pretty decent. But they need to work on. I recommend it, however, not sure if I myself will go back unless they add something special in the menu.
