I spent time in Burma a year ago, so when we were visiting NYC for the weekend I knew we had to stop by Burmese Bites for food, and it did not disappoint! Everything we tried was delicious and authentic, and it was such a pleasure to meet the food truck owner. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to try true Burmese food!

Myanmar food is a cuisine blindspot in NYC. Fortunately the Burmese Bites cart is here to fill the gap! Theyre cooking up all of the favorites they had at the Queens Night Market along with some new dishes. The owner is super friendly and always willing to chat about his recipes. This isn't only great Myanmar food, it might just be the best street food in the city!

I had the chance to cross Burmese Bites off my bucket list, and it was a satisfying experience. Located in the Queens Mall food court, the Nan Gyi Toke (Burmese Udon Noodles salad with chicken) truly impressed me with its authentic flavors. The Shan noodles salad, however, didn't quite align with my taste preferences. They cooked with Halal meat. Nevertheless, I'm excited to return and explore more dishes from their menu. Next on my list is the Keema paratha. This spot definitely has potential, and I can't wait to discover more from their menu.

Very nice gem and unexpected find in the food court of a mall. The food is prepared immediately after your order (vs sitting in a hotplate). We got the Burmese bento box and the shan kaukswe, and both dishes were very flavorful. The curry is delicious and the chicken is very tender. The mango salad is soft (which I personally don't mind because it means it's sweeter) and I really like the cilantro that accompanies it, making it a refreshing bite to accompany the curry. They mixed the ingredients in the noodle dish and that was also very good. Great value too. Definitely worth trying.

This was my first time trying Burmese food. Wow. It was a game changer. We were at Japan Fest and were in line for the other popular items. This stall was a hidden gem. I ordered the Nan Gyi Kaukswe Thoke aka Burmese Udon Noodle Salad. We claimed this dish to be the best dish we tried in the whole food festival. Staff are genuinely kind and excited for you to try a piece of their culture. I really wish I lived close enough to order again!

Walking into the food court, I didn’t expect for any restaurant to be serving at the level of quality that Burmese Bites does. The low prices, short wait, fresh ingredients, and friendly owners make this place absolutely fantastic. The menu is streamlined and simple, and offers all kinds of great Burmese foods. I ordered the Ohno Kaukswe (Burmese Coconut Ramen/အုန်းနို့ခေါက်ဆွဲ) and was extremely happy with my choice. The cilantro and onion that garnished the broth and noodles were very fresh, and the coconut-based broth was so comforting. Such a great dish to have on a cold day. My friend got the Keema Palata—it was crispy and very well seasoned. The chicken curry roti was great as well, but above all, I would recommend the Ohno Kaukswe. Absolutely give this place a try. There’s a reason they’re so highly rated!!

One of New York's best food places acting low key in the Queens center food court. Truly exceptional food, with more flavor than any Asian restaurant I have been to in NYC, with very good rates and portions. The Burmese sweet tea was so amazing that we got two of each. Very strongly recommend. They have authentic Burmese cuisine with interesting options like fermented tea leaf salad, mango salad and other classics like dum pot biryani, ohno kaukswe (chicken curry with noodle), their star palata with curry/ keema, other noodle dishes etc. They have good descriptions of the items and have vegan options for five of them. They also have a good set of desserts including falooda, shaved ice, mont lat sang (green tea based) etc. Strongly recommend the biryani, chicken curry and the sweet tea. Ample seating in the food court.

A hidden gem in my opinion. Not a lot of people know about Burmese cuisine which is heavily influenced by Chinese & Indian. Try Coconut chicken noodle soup, dum pot (Burmese chicken biryani), or tea salad. And Yes, I know the picture I uploaded in the review is an empty bowl because it was quite good & I didn’t even remember to take a photo until I finished eating it. Edit: *back to this place* still 👍🏽 pics are dry noodle dishes

Absolutely loved the food here. The kaukswe thoke (Burmese udon noodle salad) and ohno kaukswe (coconut chicken noodle soup) were phenomenal. The food was fresh and delicious and service was warm, friendly and honest. The price was very affordable too. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious noodles (and legit spicy). Very nice and fast service as well. Recommend checking out if you’re at Queens Center mall. Way better than the chain options at the food court.
