This place is proper Italian. Good neighborhood vibe. Beautiful sunset view. Great price for the service, atmosphere & food. I think the meatballs as a appetizer stood out the most. Def get those. Good music. Def coming back for some
Casual Italian with a view. Thanks Piatto!
I took my mom to Piatto for her Birthday. She loves Italian food, isn't too far from my home, close to the river and dog friendly. Service is good and makes my mom very happy. We start with Grilled Octopus, Crab Cake and fried Calamari & Zucchini. For the second course, we have Seafood risollto, Branzino Puttanesca, Linguini with Clams and Chicken Milanese. My mom loves that pasta and rice cook al dente. We choose to sit outside because we have our dog joining the party. Outside seating has a roof so even it was a bit drizzling, we sit there comfortably. I'm happy that they didn't forget to give my mom a candle for her birthday cake (Tiramisu) I wish they have more dessert wine but at least I enjoy Prosecco.
The wood fire pizzas are really delicious. They have authentic Italian pizza taste. The marinara sauce was tangy and made in house, the dough was crusty and crispy. I thought that the cheese lacked a bit of a punch compared to some other Italian places I went to. But I can recommend their pizzas easily. The lycheetini was delicious. Great summer cocktail. We sat outside and had a great view of the Pier and the skyline.
First time visiting Piatto over the weekend for brunch. Very nice menu with many options.
Our server was friendly but the service was a little too slow for what we ordered.
Our burgers were cooked medium well, instead of medium but still very tasty!
Update: tried dinner, food was tasty. Bolognese well done.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner last night (01/13/23) and it was awesome! The food is so flavorful, I ordered the penne vodka with chicken and they were generous with the chicken. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna and it was packed with flavor and a great serving size. My margarita was perfect! The vibe of this place, the view from the bar, the service, everything truly was a 10/10. Can not wait to come here and try out their brunch menu.
One of the best Italian style pizza I’ve had in NYC so far. They have good cocktails as well. Friendly service combined with nice views of Manhattan make it a perfect place for dinner :)
We ordered 3 different 10" personal pizzas and they all were very nice, thin crusted and very tasty. They definitely use nice and fresh ingredients. While the overall service was nice, the upfront service charge wasn't. I would have paid those 20% too, I just don't like it when they make that decision for me (and then ask for some more).
All around good spot. I got the pizza margherita, it was good tasting and right size and price
Amazing brick oven bread to start, fresh blue point oysters and could not have been happier about our entrees. Excellent service from all of the staff from start to finish. Pam, our waitress, was personable, funny and very efficient. We will be back to try more! P.S they deserve more than a 4.3 star rating.
Overall i liked the place but only because of a very nice waiter. Cocktails were good, food tasted average. The hostess Jasseline is the rudest one! Made us wait for 10 minutes and didn't pay any attention, when we were about to leave finally gave us a seat with a face as she is giving a big favor. Sent me to a different way to the bathroom.
