Great experience at Sapps for an early dinner, appetizers were very good, entries large and filling, and the staff was great. All three of our soups had unique flavors that matched each of our personalities. Noodles were cooked perfectly, broths were rich with flavor, and the veggies were fresh. It's nice to find one shop that can serve uniquely different dishes and each be excellent. Well done Sapps, well done...

Incredibly tasty little japanese spot. Every dish we tried was delicious. The plating was awesome. My rice bowl entree came out in a box. Woah. The edamame was best I ever had. the sake selection was huge. Will definitely be back

Great vibes and food. Staff was very kind, friendly, and thoughtful. The udon was homely and sushi tasted fresh and good as well. The miso black cod was also very tasteful.

The sushi here was amazing! Had some really delicious drinks too. The bathroom is a little weird (sliding door with a hook lol) but otherwise the experience here was fantastic!

Seriously one of the best bars/restaurants I’ve ever been to. Foods are delicious and drinks are so yummy. I ordered many appetizers since they taste so well with alcohol. Tasty, juicy meat skewers. Love their fresh taco wasabi. Love the tuna avocado on chips but forgot to take photo. My group had such a good time here. Great service! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I always order in this place, both dine in and to go. The employees are very friendly and polite. Sometimes when I order to go they gave me a free salad or seaweed snack inside the bag. Their food is delicious too. One of the best sushi places in new york, very delicious.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sapps, a small and trendy Japanese restaurant, and I cannot rave enough about the experience! From the moment we walked in, the lively atmosphere made us feel welcome and set the stage for a fantastic meal. We started by sharing a few appetizers, which were all equally amazing. The takoyaki was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The Kara-age was equally impressive, with its juicy, well-seasoned chicken and a delightful crunch. The pork gyoza had an ideal balance of crispy edges and soft dumpling texture, while the tempura appetizer showcased an array of vegetables and shrimp in a light, airy batter that simply melted in our mouths. Moving on to the sushi, we indulged in a couple of specialty rolls – the Naruto and an eel roll. The Naruto roll was a delightful combination of fresh ingredients and creative presentation, while the eel roll was rich and satisfying, boasting perfectly grilled eel and a sweet, savory sauce. Every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious, and the price point was surprisingly reasonable for such high-quality fare. Each dish cost less than $16, making it an excellent value for the exceptional experience we had. The service was attentive, and the overall vibe of the restaurant made our dining experience truly unforgettable. I highly recommend Sapps to anyone seeking a modern Japanese dining experience with outstanding food, a lively atmosphere, and great value. I cannot wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings!

Every time that I visit the restaurant, I order something different and my favorites, such a delightful menu. Always gladly surprised of the details and full of flavor food. Love it ❤️. My favorite part of this exceptional restaurant is their staff, all of them are so nice, helpful, friendly. They just know how to make you feel welcome, as a dearly guest.

Every dish was yummy but the spicy tuna & spicy salmon rolls have a special place in our tummies. It’s the simple things! Fresh ingredients, perfectly flavored and great portions. Their prices are very good too, especially for the quality! Staff is kind and patient, ready to make recommendations when needed. The space is big, not fancy, but definitely worth a visit. They have sushi roll lunch specials from Mon-Thurs (3 rolls for $15)
