Chickpea is a regional franchise chain with numerous locations in the New York Metropolitan area. It specializes in Middle Eastern cuisine, particularly sandwiches and wraps, with lots of salad options and quite a few all vegetables and non meat choices. Particularly popular are the variations on falafel and shawafel, a combination of falafel and shawarma. Dishes can be done here as pockets, wraps, sandwiches, salads, and grain bowls. All are done quite well and presented well. The prices are comparable to what you're going to find on the outside, and the service is very professional.
Late last night, my friend and I got the Mixed Berry Frozen Yogurt parfait while waiting for our train, and it was delicious. Best part, it was made with all fresh fruit. We watched the server slice bananas for each parfait. This was our first time at Chickpea in Penn Station, and would definitely return.
Best place to have a good food, specially vegetarian like me.
I don’t why the rating is so low!! Super super super clean place and you can literally taste the freshness of their produce! I had a classic falafel pita sandwich and I asked him to make mine spicy and the kick of garlic in between mixed with their signature yogurt sauce as well as the tahini sauce was amazing!! 🤩🤩🔥🔥

If someone were to tell me that one of the best falafel wraps they ever had was at a spot in Penn station, I would immediately think they probably didn’t have an accurate gauge on what “good food” is. HOWEVER, the falafel wrap here is absolutely fire and I highly recommend it. If you enjoy spicy food, get this wrap the spicy way. I came at an off peak time and the wrap was made with great intricacy. Everything fresh and delicious. I cant believe I’m going to be craving a falafel wrap from deep within the crevices of Pen friggin Station.
Really great food and service! Don't look at anywhere else in Penn for grab and go sandwiches and wraps; chickpea does it right. Super flavorful and filling. And the gentleman working the shop was so kind and helpful! Definitely check this place out if you need a bite while passing through Penn.
Stopped here running to my train. I wanted something healthy and quick and Chickpea did not disappoint. I asked for a recommendation from my server and he whipped up the most delicious wrap for me that was packed with flavor.
