Cucumber salad!. When I lived in town I used to come here pretty regularly. The sushi is much more consistent there and the ingredients seem to be fresher. I also LOVE their cucumber salad and occasionally added a little bit of shrimp for that extra bonus. I would say this is the better sushi place in town. Although from what I remember, their hours were a bit odd, so I would recommend calling ahead to make sure they're even open before making the drive.

I am from a large city where sushi is almost everywhere. However, this is something that is quite special in this area. This is my third time eating at Cafe Sushi within the first 10 days of my visit. You can tell that I always have a good time here as I am still a college student but willing to spend my money. The chef and the lady there are super nice, kind, and friendly. They always take care of you like you are more than their customers. They come to chat with you whenever they can. Sometimes they generously offer you a free side dish. Considered the size of the restaurant and the rarity of Japanese food/ingredients in Los Alamos, they serve quite a variety of sushi. I like Chirashi and Salmon steak teriyaki. Overall, my experience at Cafe Sushi is exceptionally great and better than at many other Japanese restaurants where I am from since day one. I always love supporting small businesses.
