I've been going to Carlitos Gardels for the last 16 years, ever since my 30th birthday... it is a great place for authentic Argentinean cuisine and homestyle environment. Every dish has it's own exquisite flavor and yet it takes you to a different place in your mind. As a food lover and critic of my own favorite restaurants, I have to admit this is one if my long time favorite places. If you like Morcilla, you'll fall in love after this dish.
I'm very pleased. Great food and wine (and beer). The off the menu lamb I had was probably the best I have ever had. I'm not sure why someone would rate the food less than 4 stars, probably competition or cheap people who want high grade Angus beef for the price of McDonald's burgers. Waiter "looks" snobby but provides excellent service. Owner is very engaged with customers.
Overall... the food is excellent $20-40 is a bit pricy but is clear that the quality is great and portions are pretty big. I would recommend highly.
Best steakhouse ever!!! The steaks and deserts are outstanding and top notch. You taste the care and attention given in their cuisine. You want to keep coming back for more. Their wine list is pure elegance. The staff are the warmest people you will ever meet. My favorite place in the world to be.
