The food is great. Pizzas have a light a d fluffy crust. I loved it. Pasta was really good as well.
Didn’t have any complaints really.
What I loved the most is that my Penicillin drink was amazingly on point. Great bar tender.
Fantastic service.
Lydia was great and very engaging.
The high ceilings and decor are nice. The vibe is very cool as well if you’re sitting by the big windows.
This was our second stop on a date night in downtown LA, and I think it was good. But, good is not great. I was walking by this place the night before and it caught my eye because it looks so intimate and chic so I looked at the menu, it looked good and fairly priced and so we went. All those things remain true, it is well decorated to give a exclusive and luxurious atmosphere, the service was friendly and quick, and I thought the Italian dishes were intricate, exquisite flavors (truffle, braised short rib - must be delicious) But that’s where I think they fell a little bit short.
We ordered the squid ink pasta with lobster, the octopus, and a seafood pasta. I thought the squid ink had a delicate flavor, even TOO delicate the lobster did not taste fresh it tasted frozen and then reheated. I’m easily impressed with scallops, with octopus with lobster because of course those are such delicious ingredients! But all of my favorites just didn’t taste like restaurant quality, rather a prepackaged preflavored addition. Everything was very well played, my stomach never caught up with my eyes.
Good, not great.
Great food , excellent bread and BOMB pizza. I also tried the fried calamari which was great. I tried the chocolate lava cake with homemade vanilla gelato, it all went together so well! It was authentic Italian food, they won’t stray away from the original recipes. It’s an Italian spot with a New York feel.
Went to this place for lunch in downtown LA and I was so excited to try the truffle pasta, only to find out it’s only served during dinner. After trying to get the chef to make it for me anyway, they were unable to fur fill my desire! I tried the meatball soup, which was bland and meatballs were gross. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and the bartender was great and very engaging. I will be back for the pasta!!
This Italian restaurant is awesome! I was so hungry, that I ate everything and forgot to take pictures. It was some appetizer mushrooms with baked oysters ( I think it was baked oysters, maybe I am wrong) on arugula was so delicious 😋. Then I took pasta and at the end desserts: tiramisu and some lemon cake. It’s was fantastic! I took pictures only of desserts
In love with Terroni, a warm yet wide open Italian kitchen that offers multiple dining experiences within its doors. Upon arrival, you'll be led to the bar area which has seating and communal space as well. Their cocktail list is only matched by their Italian wines which are perfectly paired with their style of cuisine. However, if you ask Romeo, their bar manager, he may take you on a tour of their eclectic Amaros they offer with some being sweeter, yet other being either dark and medicinal or complex and smoky. Behind the bar, the restaurant opens into a cavernous, high ceilinged room for dining. Even more still, there are multiple private rooms, which make for perfect board meeting or party type events; a long tabled room gives way to a vintage staircase from the time it used to be the National Bank and leads to a round table room with old arched windows and an extensive wine room. The food is amazing, also having nightly specials which what I ordered from this evening. I started with a mozzarella and tomato dish that was so rich, the mozzarella being crisp, the tomatoes still on the vine, and the bread being the right balance of butter and crunch. I then had a pasta dish perfectly paired with a Nebbiolo. Prepared al dente, I had the spaghetti alla Noricina, which was finished with a healthy shaving of black truffle. This dish was everything I needed to soak up what clung on from last night. This Southern Italian kitchen is, yet another winner for downtown and is perfect for a date night, casual soiree group light or private party. I highly reccomend trying your next lunchbox dinner at Terroni.
Fantastic service. Great atmosphere. Delicious food with good presentation. I'm only uploading one dish out of the dozen or so my large group had. Their grilled calamari is among the best and most flavorful I've had.
Painfully small portion sizes though understand that much. But that's how many places are further towards the fine dining part of the restaurant/food scene spectrum.
Fair price, good portions, great service at the bar. We ate 4 different dishes, and had 2 drinks, everything was cooked and prepared well. Decor was warm and welcoming, no feel of pretentiousness. Good conversation with some regulars at the bar. We had a great time and would definitely go back.
I'm Italian and to be 12k km far away from home it's just magical how good is this place. Like being in Italy in a good resturant, to be tried and don't be worried.to try some plates that may have "strange" names.! Well done!
NOT OIVIA GARDEN...NOT BUCCA WHATEVER...THIS IS REAL ITALIAN FOOD IN #LOSANGELES Awesome atmosphere to have a sip or glass or bottle of wine. Really delicious pizza crust...or should I say pizze. Right in the heart of Downtown L.A...the gentrified part...lol. #cocktails
