My husband and I yelped it and came here for the first time well now it’s our new favorite breakfast place in LA! We can’t wait to go back again, everything on the menu look so delicious 🤤 I had the eggs benecdict enchiladas and they were bomb, big portions I shared with my hubs and he liked it a lot. The service is great, we came on a busy morning and were seated right away. The server was helpful in recommending us what to eat. 👍👍
The best place in town for breakfast or lunch! Best staff & service! Food: generous, delicious & satisfying. Heavenly Hash=Yum yum. Street parking is challenging -but worth it. Great for everyone including kids and pets!
Nothing but great things to say about this place. The breakfast options were so hard to choose from. It all looked amazing. I had blueberry French toast and chicken apple sausage, eggs, and potatoes. For my drink I had Matcha lavender lemonade. They had our food out in about 10 minutes. Quickest and best service ever.
Our breakfast here was great! So many options for everyone, even vegan meat options which I rarely find in restaurants. Food came out within minutes and service was fantastic.
I came here for brunch and I was not disappointed! All of the food floating by looked delicious, my party got a breakfast sandwich, one fluffy pancake to share, and Carne asada in a scramble. Fancy coffees, too. Delicious.
Sat much faster than we expected, the service was super-friendly & fast, the menu was extensive, and everything we had was delicious. Lots of outdoor seating. Very impressed with their vegetarian/vegan options. I had the vegan chilaquiles with tofu “eggs” and I wanted to eat it all - but it will literally make 2 more meals for me. Also had the rose water matcha latte, my daughter was in heaven with her pistachio matcha, and her pork belly benny and my husband’s chicken & waffle benny were both a hit. Will definitely return!
This place is great, contender for the best brunch place in LA. The food is excellent, so good to the point where you’ll wonder how they can make eggs like this. And the service is just as great, constant checkups and really quick service. Long story short, this is a “everything on the menu is good” kind of place.
Amazing. I was so glad that I showed up to Millie's when I was starving because not only was the service insanely fast, but the food was delicious. I believe they only do outdoor seating right now which is no problem for us. We were helped immediately even though there were a lot of people and ordered quite fast. We got the breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, and split the coconut pancakes. Everything was so good and I can't recommend this cafe enough.
A silverlake staple with all the pros and cons of a diner.
We really love seeing the hustle and bustle of Millie's from across the street. In the trendy Silver Lake neighborhood, there is so much charm in the historic Millie's diner that has people standing in line, with waiters fast walking around right corners, and a hot pot of coffee always somewhere around filling up coffee.
We have gone multiple times, and we always enjoy the atmosphere and food, but really it's the service that's exceptional.
They have a huge menu with all the typical breakfast foods, it definitely is a little overwhelming but it's great for a family and they have vegan options as well.
This last time I got the Bird n Egg sandwich which was a new special. I liked it, but it wasn't incredible. The chicken was cooked fine, and the pink sauce on it was good, but it was drenched with the sauce and was a little overwhelming. The sandwich bread was good, but it all kinda was falling apart.
I would definitely be much more forgiving, however it was a 16 dollar sandwich. The only downside of Millie's is for how great the history and charm is, you are paying slight more than diner prices for a diner experience.
Across our table we say people order Chilaquiles and that dish looked amazing. My wife got the Breakfast Sandwich and was stuffed. They definitely are generous in their servings.
However, our tables didn't have the napkins and ketchup, so we had to awkwardly ask the table next to us to see if we could borrow theirs
You can definitely have a great time though, and we will definitely come back and try something new each time. I hope this place stays in Silver Lake forever, it makes Saturday mornings feel special.
Every time I’m in Los Angeles we hit this spot. The cafe sits on Sunset Blvd and has an old school vibe with a great modern selection of breakfast food. They have many Vegan options as well as the classics. You will feel very satisfied after eating at Millie’s. Eggs Benedict and omelettes are what we typically order. Fantastic!
Let's put it this way. I had to call them to make sure, that the breakfast burrito is vegan, because the cheese tasted just like a real thing. It was really a good plant-based burrito! lol...(Famous breakfast burrito witth 'justegg' and soyrizo - you can choose of 4 kinds of vegan protein and 2 kinds of plant-based 'eggs'). Nice service and atmosphere.
I’ve had breakfast at Millie’s Cafe a couple of times, and it’s quickly become a favorite spot for breakfast or brunches. Their sweet potato pancakes are a delightful twist on a classic, and the egg omelette is fluffy every time. But it’s not just the food that draws me back; dining al fresco among the weathered red chairs and wooden benches transports you to a bygone era, wrapping you in a cozy blanket of nostalgia. The service is decent; efficient enough to handle the bustling crowd, which is often waiting for a table. It’s a place you want to linger, but also appreciate the need to make space for the next set of hungry patrons. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend stopping by for a satisfying meal and some local ambiance.
