Can't Be Beaten. This is my favorite place to get empanadas that taste like their homemade. Perfect crispy texture followed by amazingly seasoned fillings. My favorite is the traditional Criolla but my husband loves the Beef. My son loves the corn. They even taste great reheated for the next day. We drove all the way from Las Vegas and had to hit this place up. Their chimichurri sauce is awesome. I was saddened to see that they cut down on the portions of this and started charging for it. But it's worth it. Don't let the exterior looks deter you, this place is a hidden treasure in Culver City.
Nicely Priced, Authentic Chow. We walked by tonight and realized we were about 20 minutes past closing. Bummer. So we turn around and start heading for the car (which is parked in one of the sketchier lots around), and an employee (I'm guessing the owner) came out and beckoned us in.
I was glad he did. The empanadas are larger than I remember (I lived in Buenos Aires for a few years). I love the large selection they provide. You can get empanadas from all regions of Argentina. I'm not as much a fan of the fried empanadas as I am oven-baked, but these were still piping hot and delicious.
The alfajores are very good as well. Not too dry and crumbly.

Love this place!. I have braved some rough traffic to have these empanadas - just thinking about the fried little pillows stuffed with meat, cheese , and/or veggies makes my mouth water! Especially good are the potato and cheese, onion and cheese, corn, and tucumana (chopped, spiced beef with hard boiled egg). And, although I try, I can't make it out without buying a little box of alfajores, the Argentinean sandwich cookies filled with dulce de leche. The ones at Empanada's Place are some of the best I've had! I usually take my food to go, but the place is cute for dining in even though it's tiny.
The empanadas are good. I've tried most of the empanadas and they're all pretty good. The dozen deal is worth getting because you can try different ones and they taste just as good the following day.
Empanadas Place is a delicious little spot with ten or so jammed packed tables, homey and kitschy with the walls covered in photos and Argentine banners.

I recommend ordinary one and spicy chicken one. The master was kind and gave us the macarons for free since maybe there was no other customers at that time (but don't demand it).

Super tasty empanadas! So much flavor! Each bite leaves you wanting another! When you finish you’re already reaching for the next one! I got a variety of them, from spicy chicken to cheese and potatoes! There wasn’t one I didn’t like. Me and a couple friends finished a dozen in less than 24 hours. We couldn’t stop. These are some of if not the best empanadas I’ve ever had. The layers and depth of flavors were impressive! Spicy chicken and Criolla, lemon herb beef, and picante were my favs but they’re all bomb! They’re also really big so one to two per person should be good to start but trust, you’ll want more!
Random little shop but I appreciate the understated and timeless interior. The empanadas were a bit pricey but extremely delicious and fresh. Cash only. Only street parking available from what I could tell... we parked at the gas station across the street.
Great empanadas with assorted flavors. Big and filling. They place is nicely decorated. They have indoor and outdoor seating. All empanadas are fried when you order them. Everything is fresh. It's cash only. It's kind of pricey for snacks.
CASH ONLY! A bit pricey but they're delicious and very filling. They're bigger than usual & the sauce is good too. The service was great! I recommend!
Would be 5 or more stars only down fall is that it is Cash only, tough to find parking, and a little on the pricey side. However the food was delicious! The empanada humita (corn) fugazetta (onion and cheese) were delicious and hefty / well portioned! Would recommend atleast once!
Heard about this place from a patient of mine. Has been going there since the 80s.
Great delicious and huge Empanadas. They are fried and crispy. They are made to order so they come out hot and fresh. I got the traditional Argentinian empanada the Criolla. It had beef, some raisins, hard boiled egg and seasonings.
The parking is at the front, green curb for 30 minutes. Which was convenient since they are on a busy street with a freeway entrance a few blocks away.
I would suggest to order ahead. It took about 15 minutes for mine to get ready since they only cook when you order.
People there are friendly. Will definitely come back and try their sandwiches.

We loved the two empanadas we ordered (spicy chicken and criolla). The owner was nice and brought out the different sauces and threw in a couple alfajores for free. The mom and pop atmosphere is awesome as well.
Just had possibly the best empanada I have ever had. Crispy, tasty, and fried to perfection. I want to try them all! Oh, and those little cookies!! Will be back again and again!
