Dickies is the only real Texas BBQ in the LA area that I know of. Sure, there are places all over that call themselves Texas BBQ but most, if not all, are just wannabees. Dickies is a chain restaurant out of Texas and although I would never eat chain BBQ in Texas, (there are so many great BBQ joints all over Texas) it's the best BBQ y'all have out here.
Really good food! Very fresh! Great cole slaw and beans. Free soft serve vanilla ice cream machine if you are so inclined . I don't know why the lack of "likes". Maybe because their ribs are only pork and no beef option? We'll be back again!

Thoroughly impressed with Dickey's BBQ Pit from the aroma to the taste, it will have you coming back for more. The Northridge area at the intersection of Reseda Blvd and Nordhoff has one more restaurant to add to their bustling restaurant scene. Dickey's BBQ Pit is a chain consisting of 250 restaurants.
Good food, free ice cream but a little on the expensive side. 2.75 for a cup 10 bucks for a two meat sandwich and 3.25 for a small side. By yourself it's a little over priced. If you go as a group and a a family meal deal it is probably more worth it. Can't say about the other bad reviews, but when I went the food was hot and delicious.
I have visited several stores around the country and this is by far the best tasting dickey's on the west coast. The meat is always juicy and smoked to perfection. I get the westerner with sliced beef brisket and spicy cheddar sausage with cheese at least once a week.
Just recently discovered this place. So far I've liked everything I have ordered from here. I particularly like the brisket (though it can be sometimes crumbly rather than in slices) and the pork ribs. The turkey is surprisingly tasty and moist. Lots of sides from which to choose. I typically buy a drink and make a root beer float with the complimentary soft serve ice cream.
Bomb comfort food, you must try. They have deliciousness! I adore Ribs and my husband loves Pulled Pork and we both love Meat so we get it all including the sides. Sometimes they have peach cobbler or they have pecan pie, so try it all. You won't regret it. They have a bbq sauce dispensary which comes out hot and just perfect and spicy. We always get an ice cream cone for free before and after dinning here. You must try!!
I love the food! Always good service. Sometimes wait can be long but it is worth it. I would recommend something but I love everything. This is rating the Dickey's in Northridge only. The one near my house I have only had bad experiences on more than one occasion.
Super great guys behind the counter. Some of the meat could have been less dry, but their pork ribs are simply to die for and the sides are absolutely delicious. Just be sure to leave some room for the free vanilla ice cream cone for dessert. I will be back again and again for their food.
I love the food here, and the service is awesome. you can order for pick up and skip the line! also, there's a super nice girl Olivia who's always very nice and gets everyone to smile! I wish I could tip these guys, they're great!
Great meat, great ice cream(its free). You get to keep the cups. But, it had a disgusting bathroom. Bread was cooked well, tangy bbq sauce or a nice spicy one that comes fast hard and dissipates quickly. Beautiful texture from both meats i tried(Brisket and pulled pork). I will be coming back!!!!
This place rocks, the employees were super helpful. The ribs are delicious and the mash potatoes are great. Moreover, free ice cream for dessert. Kids eat free on Sundays.

The eating area was clean, the condiment and soda area was clean and organized.
The food was hot and delicious!
