Very good bakery !!!. Mari and I had a chance to stop in "La Mascota Bakery" and we just loved the Pan Dulce, along with the very fresh Billio Bread ! we really wanted to sit down but there wasn't vey much room, tables and chairs seemed to be used by all the locals. We also ordered Beef Red Chili & Green Pork Tamales and they to were very good. Going in to La Mascota really brought back a lot of memoires for me being I lived in the neighborhood back in the late 60's to mid 80's. If you haven't been here yet you must give it a try.........

Some of the BEST LA Tamales. Try them. I've tried other place for tamales and they almost always disappoint me. I bring La Mascota pork, chicken and cheese tamales for breakfast to my office occasionally and everyone says they are the best they've ever had.

Sweet Tooth

Yummy sweet breads and Mexican pastries. Also, the homemade tamales, tortillas, chips, and champurrado are must haves at this spot. I might be a little biased though. I did live a block away through out my childhood and teen years.
