This store beats all grocery stores around including Whole Foods by superb quality of the produce. Every time I buy fruit they taste like my grandma garden fruit. I almost forgot how wonderful fruit tastes as most grocery stores around Madison carry tasteless fruit and veggies due to the way they grown - fast and artificially fed. Zero taste and fragrance. Not at Willy street coop. At first I thought I got lucky with blackberries. Then I tried strawberries and apples. So delicious. The organic cucumbers are so delicious, you’d feel it came right from your garden. Highly, highly recommend to shop here. They obviously put a great care in selection their produce. So impressed. Thank you! Also bakery is so heavenly and tasty! Not over sweetened but just right to enjoy the dessert with quality ingredients. I’m so thrilled this store is near my home.

Local items, healthy, fresh, a very nice co-op experience. In-house deli and bakery items are excellent. I miss the salad bar!! Hot grab n go is pretty good though. A salad vending machine!!

Produce is the cleanest -- no wilted or rotting vegetables. The meat counter has actual butchers who deliver freshly cut meats. But the best part is that you will find good food throughout the store that is supplied by small local companies who are proud of their products.
