LOVE Tai's!!! We are always very happy with our usual orders, as well as everything else we've tried! They even made a special order for my father-in-law, who hadn't eaten Chinese food in over 20 years due to a bad experience. He was very satisfied! Thanks for the great food!
Above average Chinese food! This was our first Chinese food experience in Madison, WI, and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend going.
Probably the Best Chinese Restaurant in Madison. I've eaten here about 20 times in the past year and have always had an excellent meal. I love spicy food and they will oblige when I ask for it to be extra spicy. I usually order the Tai's Spicy Chicken, which has a slightly sweet, tangy, garlicy sauce, with thin strips of crispy, slightly breaded chicken (not the goopy, spongy blobs that one sometimes finds with General Tso's chicken), with plentiful vegetables and excellent, fresh white rice. I usually ask them to substitute broccoli for the zucchini that normally comes with this dish and I think this substitution really makes the meal much better.
They also have one of the very best pork lo meins I've ever had, with plentiful lean pork and fresh vegetables - it's especially good if you order it spicy. Other dishes I've like are the Singapore chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and Sichuan chicken. I've also seen them serve several noodle dishes that look very interesting.
Service is always friendly and the portions are very generous.
In summary, this is a terrific restaurant. I have a friend who lives nearby and he was surprised when I suggested we eat there because it is his family's favorite Chinese restaurant in town and he didn't think anyone else knew about it. Highly recommended.
