My first time experiencing Korean and I am hooked. I live in Chicago burbs and there is nothing in this area that can compare. I've looked. I contemplate the two hour drive to this little gem at least twice a week ....
First time here and had the BBQ. The bonchon selections were delicious along with everything else. Service was great! Do I wish they had more options for the BBQ like seafood, pork, chicken, marinaded meats, yes . Will be back.
Sorry for the bad photo. This is only half of our order, and we already started eating--but I downloaded the Yelp app just to leave my one and only restaurant review, so I thought I should include a photo.
We had: Steamed Kimchi pork mandoo Dumplings, Bul Go Ki Beef, and Bul Go Ki Pork
The pork and beef have very different flavors and are each awesome. The pork is a spicy red sauce, and the beef is mild and sweeter. It was cooked to perfection! So tender. Awesome homemade spicy kimchi and other sides were included, as well as homemade pickles that I now wish I had a jar of.
The food is amazing, clearly made with care and quality ingredients, the portions are generous, and so is the service! Food was ready 15 minutes after I called it in, and was steaming hot at home even after a stop at the grocery store. I decided to add two bottles of sake to my takeout order when I went in to pick it up, and I was given the two adorable sake glasses pictured in the photo to take home with me. How lovely is that?!
Favorite new place in Madison. Will be back for dine-in and takeout both. 5 stars for 5 Star!
