Loved it!. Husband and I went to Orlando's for the 1st time this evening. The service was great! Our waitress (Lisa, I think) was so nice and helpful. And the food was amazing! We ordered the Seafood Platter and the Seafood Pasta. We will definitely be going back and taking friends with us.
Crawfish!!. I am not a fan of the dining room service here, but eating oysters at the bar was fun. They have terrific crawfish and have it ready when you arrive to pick-up. The service for to-go orders is wonderful and friendly!
Very good. Decided to try this place after reading reviews here and I'm glad we did.
Staff was friendly and accomodating and service was fast even though we arrived at just after noon.
We sat near the kitchen door and the plates being brought out had generous portions.
I had the shrimp po boy and onion rings and both were great.
Will return when in the area again
First time visit. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. Ordered the onion rings and they were very good. For the entree we got the seafood platter and not only was it more than two people could eat, it was delicious and reasonably priced. I can't imagine how much is on the platter that is advertised to feed two people! We also got a cup of gumbo and it is some of the very best we have had and we've lived on the coast for 59 years!! Well worth the visit!!
Fist time to Orlando's, service very good, pleasant atmosphere, food was very good. Appetizers: crab bites and fried pickles, main: fried shrimp/catfish, desert: bread pudding. Evey item fresh, well prepared and hot. Price reasonably. Would recommend this restaurant.

Pleasantly surprised. Went to Orlando's on a Saturday afternoon, after the lunch rush but before dinner. Only 3 other tables so we had excellent service. Food came out fresh and hot which is usually not the case at 3 pm in most restaraunts. Seafood baked potatoe was wonderful and loaded with enough seafood to make a platter. Fried shrimp was not heavy. These guys do it right. Nice to have a good seafood place in Madisonville.
My sister recommended we try this place and we are sure glad we did. We went for lunch during the week and it was crowded but still we were seated quickly. We had some fried seafood, some boiled seafood, pasta and poboys and was all really very good. The service was a bit slow (our waitress was an older lady not moving around too fast) so we spent half of our meal without drinks but not a deal breaker. Food is great. Will definitely return soon.
My husband and i go there once a week. The service is great and the food is amazing. We have never been disappointed. On Thursday nights they have a bluegrass band which is so much fun to listen to. The owner is always there and makes sure everything is good. They have really good specials and the boiled seafood is so good. We have never been disappounted there and highly recommend it!
Good food. Went here a while back! My fiancé and I shared the seafood platter for two and really enjoyed. I usually don't brag about fried fish but it was thin, crispy and awesome! Personally, I thought it could have used a tad more salt but I just added my own. My biggest complaint was that this place was soooo noisy! There was a large party in the back and they were rowdy. My fiancé and I could barely hear each other which was a bit annoying. Service was OK...lacking a bit but they were busy. Overall, I would go back for the food but not the atmosphere.
Gold is where you find it, and so is good seafood. On a road trip we passed through Madisonville, Louisiana, and had some recommendations as to where to eat. All were closed after the usual lunch hour so we stopped at a simple, rather rustic looking place, and were very pleased. The atmosphere is homey, the people running the restaurant are delightful, the prices were good, and the food was great. Orlando, the owner, came to our table twice to make sure we were happy, and gave us advice to what to see in Madisonville.
I ordered the stuffed flounder with sides of new potatoes and vegetables. It came with garlic beard and a house salad with a dressing I had never had before, tomato creole. Seeing how large the entrees were at other tables, my husband had only the soup du jour of crawfish bisque. The flounder was huge and beautifully presented. It was deliciously fresh and more than enough for two.
A must go if you are in this area. The taste of sea food is different when you try their jumbo plater. All is there and the taste is amazing. Family service adds a nice southern accent to the amazing experience. There are no many times when the full family is in agreement of my reviews and this one is one of those. The final touch a very decent price for a generous rations.
What we ordered was excellent, but all the specials were gone so we had to order from the menu. Waitress was super friendly and apologetic, the best sweet tea I've had.
While we were eating we were planning our next visit! Waitstaff is friendly and informative. I had the Italian salad with grilled crawfish, fresh and amazing. Looking forward to ordering this again. Oh and the cocktail sauce was tangy with a kick, took some Togo for my leftover crawfish.
Best gumbo and Po boy I've had in ages!!! Can't believe I've lived here my entire life and never tried them. Must visit if you want finger licking good seafood. 👍
I have not sampled much of the menu but the fried catfish was wonderfully prepared with cornmeal. I prefer a little more salt but the homemade tartar and cocktail sauces were great so I didn't miss it much. The stuffed mushroom appetizer with a creamy sauce was quite delicious and ample. I enjoyed the potato salad, very flavorful...a little heavy on mustard side but original and tasty. The service was great today. All other times, I have ordered the food to go. I frequently order the bread pudding. They have the ABSOLUTE best bread pudding that I have ever had, and I have tried many many throughout the New Orleans and surrounding areas. It is worth the trip just for the bread pudding alone and it sells out fast. Prices are very reasonable.
Came to order take out. Everyone was welcoming and professional. My to go order for 4 was ready quickly and food was exceptional as always.
Brandy is great and very happy and made our meal awesome. She’s a great waitress!!! Food delicious
