Served buffet style, with custom made omelets. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries. This is currently done as Sunday brunch. Eating here at other times will be a completely different experience.
My wife and I take a weekly road trip to a different county seat in Ohio and eat at a local restaurant when we're there. When we visited Washington County we stayed at the Lafayette Hotel for our 50th Anniversary and The Gun Room was our chosen restaurant. It was dinner time and the service was friendly but a bit overwhelmed. The food was very good! It was a pleasant experience.
Quiet place to stop in and enjoy a nice dinner! Wasn't busy or loud just a relaxing place with a nice view of the river. and good food,

We ate breakfast one morning during a recent stay at the Lafayette Hotel. Delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere.

Gun Room restaurant is a great place to visit for dinner. We, also, stopped in for their Sunday Buffet which adequate as well. Stopped in on a Saturday night which was busy. Food was delicious, I had the Shrimp Jambalaya and Caesar Salad. 10 out 10 on the food. You won’t be disappointed. Our waitress was another story.
She, an older lady, appeared to be overwhelmed - we along with other tables she waited grew concerned with what was going on with her and wondered why she made herself scarce. It got to a point to where we had (and other tables) hailed other waitresses to get meals, orders taken or even water refills. We still left a tip.
Outside of that, you’ll enjoy the atmosphere of the Gun Room. You’ll enjoy the food. We would, definitely, stop by there again.
