The Soup Shop- 4100 N. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935
5- Stars
The random name generator checked in at The Soup Shop a few weeks ago. I silently pondered, “ugh…soup. Who in their right mind eats soup in 110-degree weather paired with humidity at 100%?” undeterred, I pressed the button again, and landed on an alternative. Fast forward to the present and the generator has again paused on The Soup Shop. This time, I opted not to test fate and decided to go. To say that I’m exceedingly happy with my choice would be a massive understatement.
Upon entering, I was greeted by the manager, whose name is Robin. In addition, there were several other employees, all of whom were friendly and kind. Indeed, the staff deserves a round of applause and is certainly worthy of a bravo.
My order: dragon stew, chicken dumplings, tuna salad, egg salad, chicken pot pie, and grilled cheese. I could certainly attempt to describe, elucidate, and expound on all the subtle details that make this cuisine fantastic but simply put, I suggest you go… NOW.
Before you arrive please consider that every single item is made with the highest quality ingredients and is also prepared with absolute attention to detail, expertly crafted and executed to present fare that bursts with loads of flavor. LOADS OF FLAVOR! Channeling my inner battologist, did I say loads of flavor? It’s also worth noting: The egg and tuna salad are both made to order.
Big Boy says, “Go…NOW. Stop reading, get in your car and go. 5 delicious and loving stars
Stopped in for the first time and I am so glad I did. At the store I tried a sample of their Split Pea Soup and it was so good. I brought home some White Chicken Chili, Seafood Gumbo, Italian Wedding and of course the Split Pea. So far I’ve had the Chili and the Gumbo. Both were very good, but the Seafood Gumbo had so much seafood in it that I was in heaven! Can wait to eat my other 2.
They have prepackaged soups that are both frozen and refrigerated so you can take some home for later. They also have fresh soups and sandwiches that you can order right there.
They also sell slices of Juniors Cheesecake and it tastes just like it did the last time we were in New York and stopped at Juniors.
I highly recommend stopping in and stocking up on really good soup!
I just visited the new Soup Shop in Hammock Landing, and it's delightful. Cozy atmosphere, lots of choices, and friendly staff! I bought three quart-sized soups from the freezer/fridge, and so far I've tried two: She Crab and Dragon Stew. They're both SO good, and the prices were excellent. Looking forward to trying many more!
Edit 11/7: be alert about prices here...the ones posted in the fridge are wrong, and an employee told me they don't plan on updating them until they get a label maker. So, please get a label maker, Soup Shop. It's one thing if it's an oversight, but to be aware they're wrong and not take them down or fix them is just unprofessional.
The French Onion soup is the BEST I have ever had. In fact, all of the soups are absolutely delicious and homemade. If you’re not in the mood for soup, the sandwiches are also delicious! You cannot go wrong with this restaurant! Also kids meals are only $2!!
This place is great. Everything tastes so clean and delicious. We have picked up a few different soups on the advice of co workers and were not at all disappointed. Do not be scared to grab some hot and frozen soup to fill that need for a second taste of their amazing soups.
Definitely check this place out! It’s been about 8 years since I’ve visited Melbourne, and the Soup Shop did not disappoint! We had the Chicken Enchilada Soup, and pints to go of Chicken Dumpling and Clam Chowder! YUM!
A great place for great food
This restaurant and shop is located in a shopping center on the northwest corner of the Post and N Wickham road intersection. The shopping center has a Publix and a Panera and so traffic can be challenging and parking may be a little limited. The store occupies two business spaces and has a sandwich shop, an order-out portion, and dine-in options. They have soups, salads, and pies but they are well known in this area for their soups. On this latest visit, we ordered soup to go. They have a section to order sandwiches on the far left. The center is a counter to order and pay for the soups, pies and carry out food. There is a dining area with about 10 tables to the far right as you enter. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There are options for the gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian crowd. We ordered chili and chicken enchilada and chicken noodle soups. They were excellent after heating them up. I would highly recommend this place for my fellow travelers in the area and I plan to try their sandwich shop and eat-in area next time I visit. Enjoy!
What an excellent find. we were in the mood for soup, we thought we try this place, and we were pleasantly surprised, very friendly staff excellent choice of soups, clean and fresh, and mini vegan choices as well. we had the dragon lentil soup, delicious, and also barley and lentil soup, fresh bread, and a BLT. We recommend for sure, and we will be back.
Every soup I have gotten from here has been absolutely delicious. My favourites so far are the beef chili, creamy tomato, ramen, and white chicken chili.
This place is everything I could have hoped for. A huge list of soup, all which taste amazing. It was so hard to choose which to pick. They have desserts cute gifts and soup you can take home with you in case you want more later! I will be back here every chance I get.
