I LOVE Rock n Dough. True New York Style pizza in Memphis I have lived here all my life and have tried some of the local pizza places but I have never really been impressed with any of them. A couple of my coworkers who happen to be from New York introduced me to it. I was blown away. I haven't had anything in Memphis that comes close to comparing to their pizza. Each slice is about the size of 2 normal large slices, which helps to justify the price. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for. I always get take out from them and every pizza I've gotten has been fantastic. Thin, hand-tossed crust, fresh cheese and vegetables and the best sauce ever. Give them a try, it's definitely one of a rare breed of pizza places in Memphis.
Rock N' Dough Pizza + Brew Company in Jackson, TN is the best! Original RND in Memphis just as good. They offer a wide variety of tasty pizzas. The smoker's pie with BBQ pork is my favorite. The burgers and grinders are delicious too. I recommend the Big Bad Wolf, a BLT with avocado on freshly baked RND bread. Give Rock N' Dough a try, the atmosphere and service are second to none.
This is easily the best pizza in Memphis. It is simple and perfect. Expect more of a New York style pizza with fresh well made dough and huge slices. The toppings run to simple perfection. Now excuse me while I go order one.
Excellent pizza and desserts. I have been several times, and have been treated very well. They only sell slices of what pies are prepared. Otherwise, you can order a whole pie anytime. I recently called to see if they had any cheese slices ready. She told me they did. It was my fault for not telling them to save me one, but by the time I got there they had sold the cheese slices. I got a piece of the peanut butter cream pie since I was already there. When he got it ready for me, he said it was on the house; this was because of them being out of cheese slices. I thought that was extremely generous considering they did not do anything wrong.
Excellent pizza, huge slices, very reasonably priced. They also have great sandwiches. The actual restaurant is very small, so get there early for lunch or call in a take our order.
