Best hummus in town!. Raffe's has the best hummus in town, in my opinion. The gyros are also very good. I've always had friendly service and the food is always a pleasant treat for us.
Raffe's Deli. This place is Awesome! Don't let the outside scare you away! The people there are wonderful, great atmosphere, excellent beer selection, and some of the best middle easter food I've ever had. I suggest sitting down with an exotic beer (maybe a Fuller's London Pride, or Boddington's), get some home made Hummus with Pita and just relax. I only give it two thumbs up because I don't have more thumbs.
HUGE sandwiches!. Fresh food, decent service, and enormous portions. (Best beer selection in Memphis!!) However, they're frequently out of certain favorites.
Plan to go back. Obviously, the beer selection is great. The people there were awesome, friendly and funny. At Raffe's, they treat you like a friend, not a customer. The gyro I order came out cold, but it was still pretty good. The meat was excellent and the pita was fresh. The sauce was a bit thin, but not bad flavor. My friend ordered the Snake Bite, which was an impressive looking spicy sandwich, but it didn't really hit the spot. I'm interested to try some other, non-pita based sandwiches however. The price was pretty unbeatable ($5-7 per sandwich). Cool little place!
Let me explain.... I've got a confession. I like this place because of the store, not necessarily the deli. On the recommendation of a knowledgeable friend I went there in search of exotic and foreign beers. I was not disappointed. They have a great selection of beer for people who enjoy variety. I went in looking for gifts and came away very happy indeed.
Family nights are the best. This locally run place originally grabbed my attention with the attached connivence store. There are a few tables in the store but the real fun is had in the back where there is a beer garden. One of the best beer selections in town compliments a menu with sandwiches and salads of middle eastern descent. The falafel is great and the hummus and Baba ghanoush are the best in town. My weakness on the menu is the Greek salad with gyro meat. The salad comes with good feta and homemade vinaigrette is very spicy. One thing that is not missing from Raffe's is spice, but never fear there are plenty of beers to choose from to help put out the fires. The service is usually great when it is the family working but if it happens to be one of the hired hands, it is not always on point. Great place overall and definitely worth checking out if only for the the beers.
For anyone looking for something different yet tasty, I suggest giving the Syrian Gyro a try.

As a lunch break, quick meeting, or after work watering hole, Raffe's consistently provides a cozy and warm environment with fantastic food and excellent beer selection. It really is a Gem of a local hangout.

Stopped in for dinner with my wife and I am glad we did. It's a very low key place. The food was excellent. We started out with the pasta salad. It was an outstanding mix of flavors. We also tried their hummus, and was not disappointed. I ordered the spicy gyro and my wife got the Syrian gyro. Both were outstanding. The spicy had a nice heat while still being very flavorful, with the heat slowly building. We also got a couple of beers to go with our meal. Definitely recommend checking out what is on tap. If that doesn't work, grab a beer from the impressive selection in one of the coolers around the wall. We ended up grabbing some beer to take home. Check out the mix and match deal they offer. Only caution is the price of the six pack will be based on the highest priced beer, so be careful choosing. Definitely going back.
Love this place! The food is great and very authentic Syrian. The pitas are just like you get in the middle east. And the beer selection is so diverse! Micro-brews from all over the country and the world. The staff are super-friendly too.
This place has a very unique vibe. Mediterranean/middle eastern food meets with a beer selection that is expansive. The food is delicious, and the beer options are diverse. This place is also family friendly, which is great when you have a baby, but still like to go for a brew (and gyro). The guys who work here are friendly, kind, and on top of their game as well, which is refreshing considering the service at similar establishments I have tried.
Literally the best gyro I have ever had. I am not young lol!! Atmosphere is relaxing and all of our food was top quality. Husband and son were very pleased with the beer selection. Will be back when in Memphis again!! Making this review is making me hungry!!!
The Syrian Gyro was the gyro I've ever had in my life. I was only in Memphis for a week and I bought it twice. The fact that I live in Georgia and will have to live states away from this gyro is devastating. Super affordable and fast. Loved the falafel--.89 cents each!!
The selection of craft beer on draft and in the wall of refrigerators was also amazing. Dogfish Head, Founders, Bells, Wicked Weed, Hi-Wire, and a ton of my favorite Georgia breweries like Orpheus and Terrapin.

I was on my lunch and I wanted something from a local establishment. I was truly satisfied. Their gyros are so delicious!! The gentleman at the counter told me the hummus was the best and he was right. Don't leave without getting a side of hummus . Laid back atmosphere. Everything was great!
