We had such an awesome experience ate Calderon Club! We sat outside and the weather was perfect! I started out having mozzarella sticks and 2 meatballs to split with my hubby. Those meatballs were delicious! Melt in your mouth awesome! Next I ordered the Gnocchi San Marzano with meatballs, what can I say the meatballs were that awesome! My hubby and friends had the pizza which was cooked to crunchy perfection... The service was spot on and they made sure we were well taken care of. My only recommendation is make reservations, this place is popular and delicious! Bon appetit!
Got there on a Saturday evening by 5:15 and it was already packed. Got lucky with a corner seat at the end of the bar. Expected bad service because of the crowd. Instead was pleased with excellent service and great food. The spaghetti and meatballs were delivered from heaven. So good.
They claim "authentic Italian" and for a good reason. It's not just authentic but delicious authentic Italian. Great service by a well trained staff and the New York vibe makes for a great dining experience. The veal rib chop is among the best I have ever had.
I had some business colleagues in town. They wanted Italian cuisine for dinner.
I said I had just the place.
I definitely got high marks for this choice.

Looking for Italian food in downtown Milwaukee? The answer is Calderone Club!! The food, service, and the atmosphere are all top notch. Agreed it is a small place and it can get loud but an Italian place needs to be loud. We were a party of 5 and ordered arancini, calamari, seafood linguine, steak, and ravioli al pesto. The ravioli was mind blowing with home made pesto sauce and the flavors bursting in my mouth. Reservations highly recommended as it gets very busy.
The Veal Piccata was delicious. Favorite menu item was Penne con Salsiccia. Perfect flavors with a kick. Even the fresh bread was top notch! Bartending staff was knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. Did not try the pie but will be back again.
Talk about authentic Italian....I think. Never been to Italy, but this is the best Italian food I've ever had-period. We went on a Tuesday evening, and the place was PACKED! Drinks were great, our server was awesome, (heavy accent)a little difficult to understand, but super nice! I had the lobster ravioli and it was perfect.
Side note, two of my companions had the meatball sandwich, and they both agreed that it was the BEST meatballs they ever had, so the claim of best meatball in Milwaukee, totally legit! My advice, get there!
Absolutely perfect experience. The service is top notch and Gino the chef is one of the most down to earth, amazing guys out there! His talent in the Italian cooking world is impressive. We had lobster ravioli, brushetta, fresh mozzarella, top quality steak medallions with roasted vegetables. The experience will have me back in whenever I am ready for any Italian food.
Why have I waited so long to check this place out?? Soon as I saw the Calderone Club on an episode of Wisconsin Foodie, I knew I had to go to this place ASAP.
For appetizers, we shared the calamari and the arancini, which were both delicious. For our entrees, my mom had the creamy pesto ravioli, my dad had the veal piccata and my spouse and I shared the Calderone special (sausage, mushroom, onion and black olive pizza).
Overall, everything was on point - from the food and drink, to the service and ambiance, we had zero complaints. Definitely will be coming back as well as recommending this place to our friends and family!
Delicious pizza! Every time I come here the pizza is fresh and delicious. Toppings are nice and crisp not soggy, just the way I like them. It's a smaller restaurant but definitely worth stopping in for the great atmosphere. You feel at home in this restaurant and the character of the place is like no other. Customer service is above and beyond. Some of the best pizza in the city hands down!!
