Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

2 Shakes and a Show. Both of the Dairy Queens that were on my side of town have closed in the past few years, so, every once in a while, we have to venture 13 miles across town (each way) to get our shake on. This visit by my son and myself not only satisfied our shake cravings, but was comical as well. When my son very clearly ordered "2 medium chocolate shakes" the disembodied voice came back with "and what size would you like?" (???) "Medium" my son repeated. "Thank you, drive around" the voice instructed. When we arrived at the window, the gentleman then inquired "and how many shakes would you like?" (???) "Two" my son replied. "That'll be $2.95" he told us. "For two shakes?" my son asked. "Oh you want TWO shakes" the man retorted. "That'll be $6.46" he said. I asked my son "How does $2.95 for one shake get to $6.46 for two?" Obviously, he didn't know -- and we didn't ask. We just paid our money and headed on down the road laughing and enjoying our delicious DQ shakes. I guess it had been a long day behind the counter at Dairy Queen. Who knows...
