Got the BBQ baked potato and chicken stick. Loved all food and good prices. I would eat next time I visit Moulton.
Accidentally ran into Johns on my way thru town. Everyone in my family enjoyed their meals. The BBQ turkey sandwich and baked beams were excellent. $3.29 BBQ sandwich. Staff was very polite and courteous. Not the same as Birmingham. Genuine southern charm.
I stumbled in on my way through town iv driven by many times but this time the sign caught my eye and I'm glad it did. The service was as friendly ad could be. The entire store is cleaner than the average BBQ joint and The decor is eclectic. I had the slab of ribs with two sides. When sears I was treated to some homemade hush puppies which I used to test the three sauces. I e sauce spicy, one smokey sweet and one creamy white sauce. There was a more than adequate selection o sides. Being a slaw lover I tried the conifer slaw and the jail house mustard slaw. The vinegar slaw was exactly what I expected. Fresh, crunchy, sweet, yumm. The jail house slaw was great as well. It was more of a traditional slaw mix with mustard and vinegar added, and a touch of heat. The ribs were fresh which is a step up from many small smoke houses. They had a defined but Marie smoke ring and the bones were nearly edible. The rack was a traditional 12 bone rack if you count the small ones on the end. Either way, it was more than I could eat. This meal could easily feed two for only $17. Such a deal. The to go and carry out business is jumping here. Check it out next time you are moving through central Alabama.
