Wendy's Mount Juliet

My family was passing through Tennessee today, at the end of a long road trip to Texas and back to North Carolina. My son was going to use the last of his birthday money to buy us lunch because we only had enough left for gas to get home. We ordered and were a penny short. The cashier Dakota, said not to worry about it and I thought he meant the penny. He actually covered our whole meal and my son was able to keep his money. Thanks so much for making our day!

I was at Wendy's in Providence Tuesday. A very kind and gracious employee came to me and RickandMarsha Waldrop at our table. She very nicely asked us if we would be willing to move one table over to continue our lunch. She went on to explain that there was an older gentleman that came to Wendy's for lunch and he had some special needs. He had a severe anxiety issue and could not ever be touched or near other guests. And "He sits at this table in this corner every time he eats here." Both of us are teachers and we said we'd be glad to move. The man wheeled over to his table - nodding to us as he rolled by. His motorized wheelchair had a neon-colored flag and a clearly written sign cautiously explaining about his disability and asking folks to give him plenty of room. He sat quietly and ate his lunch. Occasionally he would raise his cup and slide it to the end of his table. One of the workers would come over to re-fill it and place it right at the edge of the table for the man to retrieve it. The employees would walk clearly around that corner making small talk with him. They called him by name and he would wave at them and call many of them by name too. One of them approached his table and explained that she needed to reattach his sign and flag because they were both loose. Then she proceeded to do her work being careful to step away and work at another table. It was so sweet the way the Wendy's employees worked to accommodate their adopted friend. One of them came over to our table and offered to bring us a Frosty for our "trouble". When she returned, she continued to tell us how special he really was. Apparently, he occasionally rolls down to Wendy's from his apartment to enjoy his lunch. She said the man had no family nearby and had apparently fallen recently and they hadn't seen him and had been worried about him. He battles traffic to get there and I know why. Because even as much traffic and congestion as there is as Providence grows, there are still good employees who make customer service as well as kindness top priority at their store.
