Had a great experience. I have wanted to eat here for a few years and I'm sorry I waited that long now. Service was excellent. Sarah helped us pick the wine, starter and meal. All were excellent. The beef short rib was maybe the best thing I've ever had in Nashville. Desert ice cream and Japanese cheesecake were to die for. I would highly recommend it. I will be returning often.
First, the space is awesome. A little crowded at the bar but that only means that it's going to be good. Plus it gives the place energy. Second, the staff was super friendly. I had to wait a bit and checked in a few times with the hostess. She was kind and even walked through the place to give me a true feel for the wait (I was hungry). The bartenders were always patient (considering the angry crowd of drinkers ;) and fans of the food... very knowledgeable too. Definitely crafters of drink. Finally (or first) the food was unique, adventursome and delicious. I'm coming my back!

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by going to R.A.D. for the first time. This was the right decision. We shared 3 small dishes and 2 pasta dishes; every single bite was fantastic. I have read other reviews and there are a few dishes that every one talks about--squid ink pasta, Verde garganelli, beef tartare. They are correct; all were very amazing. We tried two other dishes that don't get nearly as much praise. First was the Crostini with broccoli, pecorino, and pistachio. This was served on one large piece of bread that had been toasted and covered with broccoli and pecorino cheese; the flavors were outstanding. The last dish we had (which actually was the first bite I had last night) was Spinach cassoncini with coppa and sarvecchio. This dish was served as 5 bite-sized pieces and was very small. The flavor however was unbelievable. I would rename this dish "Tiny pocket of exploding flavor." I was able to avoid ruining our anniversary dinner by offering a little extra beef tartare to my wife so that I could have the last "flavor bomb."
