We had reservations for dinner, and we were quickly seated. The host and service were very friendly. The waitress was willing to explain menu items and offer suggestions for drinks and how to order since most of the menu items are meant to be shared. The items from the sushi bar come out quicker than the hot items from the kitchen. Everything was delicious and reasonably portioned for the prices. It’s definitely an experience and dinner at the same time.
Our server Madi was fantastic. She was kind, patient and knowledgeable. The food was great! I loved every second of it. I’m on a diet and still was able to enjoy a lot of the menu items without compromising my diet! The only thing I didn’t particularly like were the steamed buns. Not my favorite item but it was still ok. The tempura French toast, Brussels sprouts and lumpia were my favorites that I tried! 10/10
Been here a few times before and it was so so and then yesterday I’ve decided to give it another shot and actually it was great!
The food came hot and delicious and the service was good
Drinks are fire!
We loved the cauliflower
But the sushi and the sashimi was great as well

Great restaurant, too bad we don't live in Nashville to frequent this restaurant more often! Ordered the Midori sushi roll, the surf and turf sushi roll, and the Krispy fried chicken steamed buns. Everything was amazing, but we didn't love the surf and turf roll. Server and managers and staff were very attentive to all details. Would recommend.
Came here for brunch with a couple friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the Grass Tiger cocktail with the jalapeño infused gin! I’m going to crave the baked snow crab hand roll, I already know. Everything was good but a high price point. Parking was easy in the paid Icon parking garage next door.
As a foodie decided to try this place after work. The ambiance is good dimly lit with some very varied interesting music playlists with every genre covered. The waiter was good and pointed us to their take on certain classic alcoholic beverages which we ordered. This place is best for a few people ordering a bunch of small dishes and sharing. We ordered a few random things on the menu for classic and some more interesting. Overall the dinning experience wasn’t bad. The food is good with the steamed buns a standout. The Tartare was good overall. Adobo fried rice was a healthy portion and good also. Overall a decent experience. It’s a place you can find one or two favorites and stop by periodically.
I decided to hold hold our huge family reunion at Sunda-New Asian after visiting different venues in Downtown Nashville. Nicole from catering helped put together an awesome menu and arranged the gathering to be held where the communal tables are located which facilitated social interaction. The tables were covered with banana leaves for an added touch of ambience as we would experience in big “fiesta” gatherings. Chef Johnny executed and orchestrated what became an amazing culinary journey. The waitstaff also did not skip a beat.
We started with crispy brussel sprouts, tiger shrimp tempura, lumpia and lemongrass beef lollipops. The main course was highlighted by a special-ordered “lechon”, a traditional Filipino roasted sucking pig, stuffed with lemongrass, garlic, and ginger served with dipping sauce. But we also had Hainanese Salmon, Pancit Canton Noodles, Crispy Pata and Chicken Inasal. Side dishes were miso cauliflower, dry braised string beans, jasmine and adobo fried rice. We finished off with assorted flavors of mochi ice cream. Coming from Filipinos tasting their familiar native dishes, Chef Johnny and his crew have definitely outdone themselves.
We had the best experience here! The food was absolutely incredible and the service was unmatched. I’m a big foodie and this exceeded expectations. You cannot miss this restaurant if you’re in nashville!
Had some incredible sushi here and the staff and restaurant were excellent. The nigiri portions were very large and the fish quality was superb. I was looking for one of the best sushi restaurants in Nashville and I found it!
Great place if you are looking for some asian food it is as close to authentic as you can get in Tennessee. This far and away one of the more unique eaterys in Nashville. Definetly recommend this place if you are tired of steak houses and BBQ.
