I ordered via door dash and door dash took forever to get the food to me. They kept drawing out the delivery time and I was worried the food and fried appetizers would be cold and soggy. So I was delighted, absolutely thrilled to see panda house had packed the Rangoon's and shrimp rolls perfectly! They had cooled a bit but we're still hot and crunchy! The rice was still steaming and the garlic chicken was delicious and warm!
Even though door dash dropped the ball and took an extra 35 min to get the food to me, panda's food was still hot and delicious. Well done panda!
The food and pricing here were all extraordinary. We were both happy to have discovered this gem of a Chinese restaurant a few minutes away from our hotel, and had our brunch there. The waiter was kind and quick to take our orders and clarify anything we needed and the waiting time was reasonable. I was surprised to see how large and plentiful the portions were when we were served. Each of our meals included the meal (rice + veggies/meat), soup, dried chips and a fortune cookie, and all under $20 pre-tax. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, with only us here when it first opened. There were ample tables available, but the washroom was off limits at that time due to maintenance. So that loses a star from my review. Besides that, I suggest anyone craving some Chinese food to stop by the Panda house during their travels to, or through Nashville!
This is one of the places that I go to in order to get my New York City Chinese food craving on. Is it as good absolutely not but they have certain things I can recommend. This is one of the few places that has Yang Chow fried rice. For those that don't know this is a fried rice in which they don't dump a bunch of soy sauce on it and is the better version of house special fried rice with pork, eggs beef, chicken, and an occasional shrimp. The other thing that I've really come to like is that they serve zucchini as an option So even if you're getting the pretty traditional beef and broccoli you can step it up by getting it with zucchini instead good stuff. Sadly I've also been here long enough that the boneless ribs are now guilty pleasure.
Got the general tso chicken extra spicy and pork fried rice. It was really good. The flavor of the chicken was pretty good but no spice. Could use a little more sauce. The pork fried rice is very good. Lots of meat and veggies. The service was very fast, and the woman taking the orders was super nice and patient. Would buy again for sure. Price was not too bad either.
I recommend Nashville Panda House because of the awesome food. I also encourage people to go there because of the friendly atmosphere. A woman that works there is always exceptionally friendly, and greets me with a smile all the time. She makes me feel welcome. It's great to see workers that truly appreciate their customers. I love seeing friendliness that is authentic and ingenuous.
J and I want to start this review with an understanding, ask anyone in Nashville what food is missing, and they'll say Asian cuisine. This is a take-out restaurant first and foremost, so fi you are looking for that, look no further.
PB - I got the general Tso's, as most Americans do and it truly hit the mark. Great portions and a truly great dish. Hit the expectations and surpassed them...as the fortune cookie predicted.
J - I got the same thing as PB. I will say it was VERY good and not overly saucy or battered. Their egg rolls were fire and I wish I had ordered more. This place is heavy on the portions so if you are looking for dinner and lunch, come here.
Needless to say, one of the best Chinese food joints in town. Keep comparisons minimal and enjoy it for what it is - great, flavorful Nashville Chinese.
The food (I had honey chicken) was delicious. The people working here were friendly and helpful.
I love their soup! They always have the most friendly staff and a very clean facility. Only $6 for my lunch!
I like to order food through Post Mates from here. The portions are generous, the food is always tasty and delivery orders are always on time. Sesame Chicken and General Tso are fan favorites. Will definitely continue to order food from here.
Food was incredible. Awesome spicy fried rice, crispy Rangoon and perfect fried dumplings. You guys are rockstars!
