This pizza is absolutely unbelievably delicious !!! Every time I pass by there I'm probably going to stop to get a pizza! I must have passed Ernie's 1000 times and never knew the pizza was this good. I saw an image of the sign on the pizza show during the filming by Viceland . I decided if they were being shown for great New Haven pizza , then It must be extremely good! This pizza is every bite as good, if not better than all of the top New Haven pizzas I have tried. The people who run Ernie's are also very nice. Ernie's is definitely one of New Haven's best kept secrets. :-)

Pat and his staff are not only great people to be around, but the quality flavor of their pizza hasn't declined in DECADES! The sauce and simplicity with which the Ernie's staff prepare their pizza and breads is almost too simple that you might think it's too simple to just be this way. Let me tell you: It is. Why do you think they specialize with pizza? And why do you think they have the open kitchen concept? Because there is nothing to hide about the food they make, and who they are. Great pizza, and even better people. If you haven't stopped in, yoy better!

I have to say Ernie's has some of the best pizza I have tasted. The crust shines through. A wonderful pizzeria with a lot of heart. I recommend Ernie's to anyone who loves pizza.
