We stopped here to get pralines as gift souvenirs and also tried the praline beignets and a sweet potato pie. The beignets were made fresh and topped with warm praline sauce. They were soft and such a delightful treat to bite into. They are super sweet, and would be good with unsweet tea or coffee. We ate the pie the next day after traveling home and it was still fresh and also just as tasty, albeit a bit less sweet. The pralines were a hit with the family. Service was excellent and friendly as we had questions about pricing and the menu. It had a line the whole time we were there (Sunday afternoon in December) and I see why. Highly recommend.
You have to try it! They have chocolate filled beignets and other filling options also. This was one of my favorite stops. I also loved the positive faith quotes on the wall. It was nice to see a word from God on there! :)
It’s a nice family eatery. But the price? Pretty high.
It’s good, tasty but for the price? It’s fine. I do recommend it and support local but is it an amazing beignet? Hm, it’s good. Enjoyable but below amazing. Note: We ordered the burger version, praline, original, crab etc.
Original? I prefer this one, but is it better than others? Similar.
Burger is based on the hot sausage. It’s solid but the spice was underwhelming.
Praline? Way too sweet. It’s an American thing. As an Asian American, the four of us had to throw some of the praline sweetness.
Crab? Great. This one was very good but for the price, it gives major pause.
Overall, satisfied but price is a major flaw for me.
