We did the blind tasting (don’t look at my pics if you want to stay surprised!). We sat upstairs which I preferred as there’s more space and quieter. The food was really good! We enjoyed each dish including the explanation of what was in there. I didn’t love the wine pairing. While I enjoy that explanation as well and the thoughtfulness behind the pairing, there were wines that I just don’t prefer. The last pairing was a vermouth type drink and I couldn’t even finish it. I would’ve preferred getting a couple glasses of varietals I know I like. Service was great though. I don’t know how often they change this menu, but we would do it again!
Ordered their new menu seafood platter which is all seven of their raw bar items. Super fresh and terrific execution with on-point accompaniments. Mignonette mini spray bottle for the outages is genius. Thin homemade potato chips heavenly. Cocktail description was inaccurate to actual flavor profile which bartender acknowledged. Incredible desserts. Only about six tables but about a dozen reserved spots at their long tavern bar. Buzzing neighborhood commercial strip to walk your meal off.
Make sure to do the 5 course prix fix menu where the chef chooses your meal. We truly enjoyed trying items we would have never chosen off the menu. Don’t shy away from sitting at the bar if you make a last minute reservation. Ty conjures up his own amazing and complicated and delicious cocktails. Plus, they have an awesome selection of liquors. Each course was better than the last. Dessert was the best. The flavors were layers and artfully displayed. Well done.
