What a cool little place. It is upstairs hidden on Frenchmen street. It used to be a one bedroom apartment. The food is amazing. I had eggplant parmesan with fettuccine. Salad with italian dressing and escargo. YUM! The price was reasonable. My son had grouper, prepared gf.

It's been years since I dined here. My first time here was on a date in 2000. The food was phenomenal. Paired with the eclectic vibe and feeling like we stepped into a Spaniards living room, local art adorned the walls with low lighting and bustling chatter. There wasn't another table empty. I would return here on every one of my frequent trips and become friends with Adolfo himself. He was a great conversationalist and had amazing world views. I found out a few days ago that he is no longer with us. Although I was starving when I walked in, my sadness with this news affected my appetite. I got the same thing I had when I first came here. The seafood sauce over sole with salad. Skipped drink. Great service and lively vibe. This place is a hidden gem. You can feel comfortable and relax with your meal. Great location on Frenchmen also.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for a decade. I've made special trip to New Orleans just to get the mussels and rack of lamb. I was unlucky enough to miss the last lamb chop on this trip but this clam pasta made up for it. The Bae had chicken Maxine. I'll be back asap to get my lamb chop fix. Also on the best street in the French quarter.

Adolfo’s is one of our favorite restaurants. Small, personal with very good food and service. They do not take reservations so we like to get there about 5:30 PM when they open. Normally we walk right in, but half an hour later there will be a wait. The ocean sauce is great on almost anything and the garlic muscles are my favorite. Our server, Rachel was the bomb. Always good!

Wow! This place! What an absolute find! This place has so much character, so much charm, overwhelmingly cozy and quaint. You won't find it without knowing it exists above the Apple Bar, another gem. Do yourself a favor and point Maps to this spot immediately. You will not be disappointed. Located in Marigny District. Try the Italian Sausage and ask for Carol! This is a genuine, unsolicited review based on a virgin experience, promise!

We had dinner here on a Tuesday. The restaurant is in a small space upstairs above the bar. At 1 time, the space was a 1 bedroom apartment. We ordered Old Fashions downstairs & took them up with us. We ordered the clam pasta with white sauce & Chicken Parm with pasta. The bread was garlicky & delicious. It was a delicious meal.

Small staff means be patient on service. Food so good do not want to talk about it. Family "ocean sauce" a must include. Have to get here early. Would rate 5's but it's on me just don't do that. Flounder special in picture.

Absolutely fantastic! This place is a favorite with locals. I had the steak w/ ocean sauce: perfectly done. The marinara is fresh and flavorful, with a hint of basil. My heritage is Italian, and I would unequivocally say good enough for grandma! The Ocean sauce is rich and creamy with depths of flavors. The restaurant itself is charming and very New Orleans. Come here to spend a little time and enjoy yourself; good for special occasions (not for tourists looking for an insipid "Olive Garden" type of experience).

Interesting small restaurant. Touristy but not awful. The servers and kitchen were kinda oversubscribed, so the meal takes an hour and a half. They were friendly and I will say the food was pretty good. The sides are basic but the entrees were pretty tasty. I liked the Chicken Luis. The atmosphere is cool, it's very cramped in an ancient tilty building. Overall a fine place for a slow tourist meal.

We got there around 6pm. We were told 20-30 minutes, but to go downstairs to the bar where there was live Dixieland jazz. While there I sipped on an old fashioned, which was very good. The band was okay and fun to watch. I engaged with a couple of ladies from NYC who were also having a great time. After about 25 minutes our table was ready. Two-person table with old style tablecloths, in a quaint one room dining area. Our waiter explained every special down to the last detail. We chose the app special, mussels swimming in a great tasting sauce. Appetizer, 7-8 mussels right? No, there were 30-40. Delicious! My entree was the cannelloni combo which was actually the two canelloni appetizers: shrimp and corn, and Italian sausage and spinach, all covered in a beautiful creamy Italian sauce. Again delicious! My sister had the flounder special, but don't remember what it was stuffed with. Every plate gorgeous and delicious. My sister (Cajun Queen) works in the quarter and had been wanting to try Adolfo's and definitely was not disappointed! I highly recommend everything about this restaurant. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ across the board!
