We've been meaning to try it out and yesterday while at the street fair we gave it a shot. So glad we did! Service was wonderful! Our waiter interacted with the kids and was quick to bring our food. Kids had the grilled cheese kids meal with fries and they were excited that it was on "fancy" bread. I had the Cubam sandwich and it's one of the best I've ever had and our family has been known to drive to Ebor City just for a sandwich. Husband had the tamale and he said it was wonderful, the side black beans was a pleasant and delicious surprise. Prices were fantastic with the amount of food we received, beer was cold, and atmosphere was family friendly. We will definitely return. My 4 year old has already asked when we can go back. Will certainly make this place one of our family spots!

Que Rico has delicious Cuban food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. My favorite is the Cuban sandwich with a side of black beans. The plate specials are divine as well. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. I suggest you give it a try. They are closed on Mondays. Check their hours before you go. So worth it!

I don’t normally come to Magazine St but I was working close and my daughter knows the owner so why not? I always like Cuban sandwiches at non-Cuban restaurants but none really compare. This was really good. The slow cooked pork was very juicy and the egg bread was a nice touch. I hear they may open one in Slidell and that would make me happy.

Pretty good Cuban food. Simple and quaint yet delectable. Gave off a star because there was no information online about them not having alcohol, I saw that they had mojitos and was only informed of them being virgin mojitos upon arrival. Not the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had but a damn good one with plenty of authenticity accompanying most of their menu. Would recommend as a good new lunch spot to try, just don’t be in a hurry, they are a small place with a small kitchen.

Great food and great vibes. Servers were extremely helpful and fun to interact with. I ordered tostones and the bistec de pollo. The tostones taste similar to plantain chips and come with a garlic sauce. The chicken was fresh and seasoned to perfection. Definitely left very full and satisfied.

OMG my first time in New Orleans I stayed in an Airbnb on Magazine & it was superb! This small quaint restaurant was absolutely lovely. My friends & I arrived late(a few minutes before closing) & they still served us as if it were early in the day. The food was so rich in taste, I had a mouth watering soup & some other items I can’t remember, but I distinctly remember thinking I wish I could have it every week. Not only was the food wonderful, the Manager was soooo nice, told us he lived right upstairs from the place & wasn’t in a rush to close. I really appreciate people who go the extra mile. & let me not forget about the decor, which reminded me of a movie set out of Cuba, well thought out & cute. They even had outdoor seating! I was extremely happy to have experience Que Rico Cuban Cafe, highly recommend!

Delicious food, laid back yet trendy vibe. The Service was excellent, kind, prompt, and helpful. My husband's pork was flavorful and tender. My shrimp were left to be desired but the broth they were made up for the overcook on the shrimp. Rice and beans were quintessential of cuban cusine and a delight. The Fried Plantans were perfect. The Virgin Mojito was spot on and much like our over experience refreshing and essential in starting off our night right before hitting Bourbon and Canal street.

I ordered the Virgin mojito, delicious and refreshing, the Cubano, a little dry, and the appetizer of the tamale, best thing yet. We also had boiled yuca, very good

Delicious folks! and Homey. Growing up, my neighbors were both Honduran and Cuban and would always serve porch chops , sweet plantains, white rice and black beans for dinner and I swear this brought me back! I got the Chuletas Fritas and it was delicious. Porch chop was seasoned well, plantains fried just right and the white rice - perfectly done. This is a solid family go to for lunch or dinner.

Excellent food! Very enjoyable time with my wife and our Cuban friends who recommended it. My wife and I ordered the special for the evening - it was two deep fried pork chops (hefty and flavorful). These were serious and we could only eat one each and took the other two home. The black beans and rice were delicious. Highly recommended and we will return (DV).

Service was good and food was well prepared. Everything taste really good. My only suggestion is keep doing everything just the same way. If you are in the area looking for authentic cuban food please visit this restaurant.

I grew up in Miami and this like my comfort food. Without any reservation I can say that Que Rico! is better than some of the restaurants you find in Calle Ocho (Little Havana). I highly recommend that you go on Saturday and try the Rabo Encendido (oxtail). In my life I have eaten a herd's worth of oxtail and Que Rico! makes the best I have ever had. In fact the Cuban tamales with Lechon (roast pork) is flavorful and deliciously garlicly. The Ropa Vieja is made fresh daily and is consistently great. After dinner make sure that you save room for some tres leche and a cafecito (Cuban coffee). After a shot of cafecito you will learn why Cuban children don't need Ritalin.
