Super good Brie burger! My husband and I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very laid back and friendly. The bartender was great. We would definitely go back.

The bellhop at the JW marriott suggested this place to me at about 4:30am and told me to try the fried oyster and roast beef sandwich. I only went there to order food, I placed my order and had a seat by the fire to wait. But some of the locals asked me to join them and I had a blast! Stayed till about 6 without eating my sandwich, got it to go and it was pretty rough by the time I got back to the hotel. My fault, I let it sit to long.. But the bar was so great I actually returned 3 times to have some drinks taking friends along with me. On the last night I was in town me and a two friends thought we would visit one more time, I ordered the Kobe burger. I was pretty intoxicated, but I do believe this was the best burger I have ever had in my 28 years on this planet. This bar/kitchen was easily my favorite thing about my 2014 mardi gras trip! I will be planning a trip to Nola again in the future with this place in mind!

Food here hits above its weight class. Really pleased with it. Wasn't overly expensive, even for the quarter. To kill some time one afternoon we stopped in for pulled pork loaded fries and a grilled cheese and loved them both. Bar service was fast, a/c blowing cold, and I love a good dive bar hangout overall. Will definitely pop back in for a repeat visit soon.

Walked in 1pm on Friday for lunch. Place was completely dead and was about to turn around and walk out. Then thought for a moment and thought everyone deserves a chance.
Well it was worth the change of heart. Pulled pork sandwich and Brussels sprouts were huge highlights. Ordered the house made hibiscus margarita, which was tasty but a little light on the tequila. Overall a great non-Cajun restaurant!

Backspace was such a vibe. One of my friends saw the typewriters in the window and we had to go in. Ordering was quick and easy. The atmosphere was perfect for a bunch of English nerds and photography lovers. Everyone loved their food. They offer a scaled down menu but it was perfect for a quick lunch.
Decided to wind down after work and stopped here to get a drink. Got some boudin balls and fries also and they were delicious. The bartender is really friendly, too.

Tillman was the best behind the bar. Serving up cocktails like no other place in NO. Chef creates simple no frills burgers that are best of best.
It was great to find a place with vegetarian options. This is a cool bar with a good selection of beers and bourbons on offer. It’s right on the edge of the French Quarter so really easy to get to on foot. I enjoyed my ‘grown up grilled cheese’ and my husband had a friend chicken and bacon burger. The barman was helpful and made good suggestions for drinks.
