This Christmas, we turned to Geisha Sushi Bistro in New Orleans for a comforting Japanese meal, and it didn't disappoint. Starting with the miso soup, it was the warm, familiar taste we expected, setting a comforting tone for the meal.
The grilled salmon salad, while slightly overcooked leading to a bit of dryness, was brightened by a delicious citrus ginger dressing. It was a refreshing part of our order.
The beef yaki udon, a flavorful stir-fried noodle dish, was a standout with its perfectly cooked noodles and savory beef. In contrast, the chicken udon soup was a heartening affair, featuring a savory broth filled with tender chicken, vegetables, and mushrooms - a real comfort food.
Our sushi choice, the Spring Love roll, was typical of Japanese fare but still enjoyable. Each element of our meal felt like a classic representation of Japanese cuisine.
Although the food didn’t particularly wow us, it was a solid, enjoyable experience. The biggest plus was finding Geisha Sushi Bistro open on Christmas Day, making our holiday meal convenient and comforting. Overall, it’s a well-deserved 4 stars for providing a reliable Japanese dining experience in New Orleans.
Very great place to eat. The food was great. I highly recommend the poke bowl..it had great flavor and was very fulfilling. Sushi was very fresh tasting.
Had a wonderful time! Absolutely marvelous sushi! We took the Geisha Kiss and the House Dragon roll, and were blown away by it!
