Not sure why they call it a cafe because they serve Thai food and have bomb-ass tea, but whatever this place is SO GOOD. Really great Thai, and the ambience is nice and cozy.
Great food and service, reasonably priced. There are so many great little quaint eateries in this town, and their prices were reasonable when they started out, but now it seems like everyone charges an arm and a leg. though NOT Maple St. Cafe. All entrees are under $20, servers are friendly and competent, and the entrees come with starch and veggies, so you can easily fill up without ordering a soup, salad or starter. Their mussels in tomato white wine sauce are divine!
Excellent. This is the best little place to grab a bite. Zoo would eat again and again.
Do not miss the oysters almondine app. Melt in your mouth!
Great local spot! Very comfortable atmosphere, attentive & knowledgable staff, and great food! Menu has a nice selection. I have been several times and the quality of food and service is always consistent!
Good for a date, not great for a meal. Good but not great food here. The angel hair spaghetti with the mushrooms had a great flavor. The filet, on the other hand, wasn't worth it at all. In fact, I don't think it was filet. I think it was just a steak.
The food here reaches for "fine dining" but doesn't make it. However, they're pretty good. If they tried to perfect the more casual dining style they'd hit gold.
Pleasant atmosphere. Extremely friendly waitress. Food was great and reasonably price. Definitely worth visiting repeatedly.
Pleasant and tidy. It is on a very cool, bustling stretch of Maple St., in between campus and Carrollton, with lots of foot traffic to coffee shops, book stores, bars, clothing boutiques and eateries.
Kathy and I found this place solid. We had potatoes and fries. The crawfish and feta pita was good. The veal piccata was decent.
I heard through word of mouth that this was the place for a beautiful sandwich. The line was practically out the door and it seemed like everyone was trying to get a black forest ham and brie cheese croissant.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! I dined here with a friend for lunch and we were so impressed. All of the food was flavorful and fresh. We also felt like we were dining in an upscale restaurant, but the prices were so affordable for lunch! It’s a small, but very welcoming neighborhood cafe. Our waitress was incredibly nice and gave us good explanations of the dishes we asked about. The mezze plate appetizer is amazing and a very large portion size. Oh and this might’ve been the best Greek salad I have ever had! I will definitely be returning.
I can't begin to explain the unrealistic service today. This place was swamped with customers and one server took care of the entire front room. It was amazing, food came out hot and the beverages never ran dry. I don't know how he did it, but he did. Now, for the food, wow. The soft shell crab was insane delicious. It's salty flavor smashed perfectly with the crawfish cream sauce over the linguine. Extraordinary flavor profile un that dish. The eggplant cake was remarkable. Full bar and plenty of beer options.
The food is always great. I had the fish special with roasted potatoes and purple cabbage. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I'm a regular customer. I wouldn't be if the food and the service wasn't Great!
When we’re visiting back home we absolutely have to stop at maple street cafe! The soft shell crab pasta is literally heaven on a plate and the redfish was impeccable! If we could give 100 stars we would. Very homey and friendly. Will definitely make this a tradition. Thank you all so much for your great service and food. Your staff is lovely and we appreciate everything. What are you waiting for!?
Wow this beautiful restaurant was cozily placed and afforded a posh atmosphere. Starting with delicious steaming bread, the entire meal did not disappoint. I had the crawfish pasta with an appetizer of the delicious Greek salad on bread. The service was fast as I finished off the wonderful meal, and I will absolutely be back.
Quaint little Cafe with some amazing food!!! Husband and I both had the specials.for the evening. He had the ossobuco which absolutely delightful!!! I had the Fried blue crab served over crayfish linguine! The sauce was divine!!!! We also got a white chocolate bread pudding to go. I've only taken a small bite, as I am so very full from dinner, but it is very very delicious!!! A more upscale Cafe for sure, but the price is definitely worth it!!
Great little neighborhood place for so good local fare. Friendly staff and good food. The soft shell crab, veal picatta, and pork chop were all very tasty.
I often order the angel hair ziad which comes in a delightful light bordelaise, served with large succulent shrimp ( used to be 6, now 5). Last night I was disappointed with the shrimp. They were much smaller and translucent. I sent them back to be cooked and they came back grilled covered in salty spice. PLEASE. don’t change your original dish !
Great service by Emma. Opened 7 days/ week. Reservations on their website or by calling
Everything was delicious! Great experience and can't wait to visit again! Cute neighborhood! So impressed with the food and service. If you choose dessert, order tiramisu...The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the key lime pie dessert. (We ordered both). But I cannot wait to go back and devour another veal picatta! The rating should be 4.9 out of 5...only because the pie was so disappointing after everything else was so good.
This was an awesome find close to Tulane. Varied menu with something for everyone with a New Orleans twist. The soft-shelled crab special was perfect.
