My girlfriend and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner here at the Sake Cafe uptown. The place offers patio dining, a great bar seating area, indoor fine dining, and sushi bar seating. We opted for a table indoors and were treated to excellent service from start to finish. We started off with a drinks. I selected from their cocktail list and my girlfriend selected a nice sauvignon blanc from their well rounded wine list. We shared a delicious Ahi tuna and goat cheese appetizer and shared several of their specialty rolls as an entree. The food took just the right amount of time to come out, we even had just enough of a break before dessert to be ready to finish it! Everything was great, the quality of the food was impressive. I would recommend this place with a high degree of confidence!

My mom and I loved Sake Cafe! The sushi rolls were delicious. My mom had the New Orleans roll and I had the Lava Roll. It was fresh, beautifully arranged, and the server was great! I’d highly recommend this to fellow sushi lovers.

After finding several other Asian restaurants either closed or by reservation only, because it was Christmas Day, we stumbled across the Sake. Feeling both hungry and adventurous, in we went, and promptly got a table. It’s a stylish if slightly dated decor, but perfect for a Japanese cafe. We are not big fans of sushi but noticed the menu had plenty of other options. It was pretty busy but our server, Quicha, brought water immediately and we ordered drinks. It’s a quiet but lively atmosphere, great for conversation. We ordered the Rock Shrimp Tempura and the portion was surprisingly large and extremely hot. The shrimp were delicious! I ordered beef teriyaki entree which came with a small salad and rice. As you can hear and see in the video, it came to the table sizzling hot. The teriyaki was outstanding - not too sweet as I often find in most restaurants. The rice was perfect, and equally hot. My husband got udon with shrimp and it was delicious. Because it was Christmas, they had many takeout orders, so we noticed a delay bringing our food, but Quicha did what any experienced server would do - she explained, apologized, kept us in drinks, and told them to stop accepting takeout orders so she could serve her customers better. Whether you love sushi or not, this cafe is a sure bet if you like Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended.
Delicious sushi with generous portions! Our waiter, Ron, not only provided excellent service but also added a delightful touch of humor to our dining experience. He made our visit to this restaurant even more enjoyable!
Swanky Japanese restaurant/sushi bar on Mag st. I wanted some good sushi and they didn't disappoint. This place is large, two stories so they can accommodate big parties. The interior wasn't just normal sushi bar aesthetic and stood out in a mostly good way. The cooler case full of dragon blade knives and kunai was an interesting accent point though. I specifically came for mackerel. It happened to be HH, which I appreciated them having saba on special. Ordered a special roll as well, and while it was good, it was all about the mackerel. My only complaint was the service was kind of slow, given how empty it was at the time. I'd come back for more Mackerel and to try some of their other options.
Very lovely walking in. We didn't like our first seat and the waitress was kind enough to let us move. The waitress was so sweet, attentive. and positive, i shouldve gotten her name! Her energy really made us feel so comfortable. The food was amazing and came out fast. The first hot sake that I've actually liked! I will definitely come back and can't wait to bring my friends.
Had the opportunity to visit this lovely restaurant and everything was amazing. While waiting with my sibling for the rest of the party, had a chance to talk to the owner who was so charming and also incredibly hilarious. Then was seated at our table with Hillary as our waitress and lemme tell y'all something. 📢 GET HILLARY TO BE YOUR WAITRESS. She is such a lovely person and she's very intelligent on what you'll love off the menu based on your tastes. She never steered me wrong and we all had a fabulous time.
I got to find one evening with my sister in law, Ron took AMAZING care of us.

Wonderful food at the Magazine Street Outlet of Sake Cafe. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere. We've had some terrific meals here.
Amazing lunch. Had the bento box which was super affordable and tasty — looking at the dishes being delivered to other tables I was sad I wasn’t more adventurous as it all looked amazing. Would definitely go back again. They were also super accommodating of my sisters shellfish allergy.

unsure if outdoor seating was available because we went on a rainy day so the tables i did notice outside were obviously empty. stopped in for a quick bite since we both agreed on sushi. this is probably our 4th time coming here and it’s been consistent in the food / service & drink department every time. variety of dishes that cater to ppl of all diets. our servers have been very welcoming & professional and delivers in a timely manner. the ambience is very authentic to Japanese heritage which is very much appreciated.

Great food, superb quality. Lovely drinks, and fab staff. The only thing is the speed of delivery of food, they have to work on this - the flow is off, waited for the last of three cocktails which were ordered at the same time for about 15 minutes longer than the other other two.
Management also seemed to be in a really crappy mood and somehow managed to make several staff members cry in the hour or two we were there. This is an absolute no go. Management by fear is not the way to encourage your staff to work harder and run faster.
