My favorite sushi place in GNO. The playboy roll is amazing and the service is always fantastic. I highly recommend it.
Freshest sushi ever and the portions were huge! I highly recommend it!
Excellent Sushi! We do take out mostly and it is always fresh and good! Their special rolls are particularly excellent. The Triple Salmon is a favorite along with the Sunset and Burning Man! Don't miss the Tuna TarTar Appetizer! Yummy!
Although this isn't my favorite sushi joint, I must admit the Playboy Roll is pretty damn good. The coconut shrimp add the perfect amount of sweetness.... The downfall for me is the lack of a good sake menu. Yes, it's over priced. What do you expect? It's all part of the NEW Lakeview on steroids. All of those huge houses drove up property taxes, thus the expensive sushi. I have never experienced rude staff or a mix up on a to go order. I have however, witnessed plenty of parents who don't believe in teaching their loud kids manners. We eat here regularly....mostly order to go.
Love this place. By far some of the best sushi in the city for the price. It's fresh, well prepared, not expensive, and everyone there has been extremely friendly.
Came there with some friends recently , the sushi was fresh ,decor was great , but the service was even better! Our waiter was very professional and was a big help guiding threw the menu .
Exceptional food! Great Suahi bar! Had the shrimp teriyaki, miso soup and Roll combo. Still giving this place 5 stars, even though oyr server, Angela, was rude to us three times before we got our food When we asked for more dressing for our salads. She pointed to our salads saying, "there's alot in it". I'm chalking it up to stress. The Manager, Solaa, and owner, name unknown, went well above and beyond to make it right. My advice...Rush down here before it gets too crouded. It's sooo worth it!

The sushi was great and fresh! They forgot to give me my spicy mayo sauce I ordered ( I saw her put it by the bag but I guess she forgot to put it in) that was disappointing because I ALWAYs eat that with my sushi!! The miso soup was also great and the cucumber salad! The shrimp lettuce wraps not so much.. They were mushy.
Excellent food. Great service and location.
To start we ordered edemame and Philadelphia sushi, was really good. Then we had Chicken Pad Thai, Tempura Dinner and Combo Fried Rice, everything was delicious. Recommend!!!
A good sushi place with high end sushi prices.
We live right in the neighborhood and been here only a few times since they've opened. The sushi is good, and their fried rice and eggrolls are fantastic. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is ok, but not memorable.
Problem for us is we leave feeling like we overpaid. For example, a basic snow crab roll is $9, add in tax and tip and you're looking at $12 for a single snow crab roll. Specialty rolls end up at $25 apiece final cost. If everything on the menu were $4-5 cheaper, this would be a fantastic place to get sushi.
As is, it's a convenient neighborhood sushi spot, but maybe not the best place for value-minded guests.
A bit pricey but otherwise a great place. The waitress I had was a pleasure and felt genuinely nice. The sushi is fresh and tasty.
As a frequent consumer of Sushi I found Lakeview Pearl to be exceptional. The server was kind and attentive, the restaurant very clean, and the Sushi featured fresh quality ingredients at a great value. The thick cut ginger also served as a stand out as best ginger I've tasted at a Sushi Restaurant to date! 5.0
Fantastic local neighborhood Sushi restaurant. Of course, the freshest tasting sushi and flavorful soups and sushi rice. We enjoyed the miso soup, the clear soup and the Chirashi. Also, the salad dressing was amazing with the freshest ginger flavour. The service was quick and professional. Highly recommend!
01/26/17: 4.0 out 5 - Coming from Portland, Oregon with close friends. Six of us total to be exact, and we're all "Foodies".
Admittedly, we did not know what to really expect being we just arrived and this was our first night in New Orleans. We were surprised with a lot of places closes by 9 PM.
Lakeview Pearl Sushi Bar and Asian Bistro just so happened to be close to the AirBnB we all were staying at. It is a local restaurant with parking available. Lakeview definitely was a good place to be with close friends on the first night. The staff were quick to greet and seat us, and they all were great and good to us.
The food was prepped well and quite tasty. We seemed to have a decent variety. The drinks (cocktails) were actually very good and went well with all the food we ordered.
If you never have been or visiting the area, definitely worth trying once and deciding for yourself. Enjoy!
So delicious!!! We had the Love Boat, and 3 additional rolls along with a pineapple mojito(the only thing I would have skipped for next time), 1 bottle of plum sake and 1 bottle of another alcohol.
It was $145 before tip for 3 of us but the alcohol was definitely a contributing factor and it was worth it!
The raw sushi was the best I've ever had hands down. The tuna and salmon tasted like they killed and prepared it after we ordered it was that melt in your mouth fresh!!!
Food was really good but kind of basic. Service was outstanding and the restaurant was very busy. The only thing was that the dining area is very open and it was quite loud.
It's good sushi just not worth the price but you are paying for the location I guess
Absolutely wonderful! I couldn’t believe it when they brought out the rolls and how much great sushi was in them. I’m from out of town and this will be a place I recommend my friends come to.
