Michael White has two Moroni restaurants jn the city. One is on the Upper East Side and one in Soho. The one in Soho can get very noisy if the restaurant is full but it feels lively. I like to eat at the bar for the simple reason that a seat is always available and I can enjoy my pasta. House made pasta is delicious here! I am partial to the tortelli ravioli with mozarella and ricotta topped with pomodoro and the rigatoni with wild mushrooms is memorable.

Authentic, top shelf Italian. This is a very special restaurant for a nice event or an anniversary meal.
Totally authentic atmosphere and an impressive menu. We shared the Bistecca Di Morini, a great sized portion of dry aged New York strip steak. It truly was phenomenal. Be prepared to spend a significant amount of money here, but for special occasions it is worth it.

Great Vibe !. A relaxed and more casual atmosphere than typically associated with this type of cuisine, but it all worked wonderfully well. The Spaghetti alla Vongole was a little dry and needed more clams, but other than that, every other dish was excellent !

Food heaven. I dined at Morini's tonight and all I can say is I've died and gone to food heaven. The house-made pasta is delicate and coated in a perfect amount of sauce. The gelato, when accompanied with the waiter's suggestion of frizzante, danced on our taste buds - the salted caramel and blood orange + basil both to die for....

Excellent Italian. I chose Osteria Morini as part of our 12th wedding anniversary celebration. We took a nice stroll from our hotel in Tribeca to this Emilia-Romagna region restaurant that lived up to it's reputation. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. The service was efficient and to our satisfaction. The atmosphere is very casual, like being in an Italian kitchen. My husband was not fond of the chairs which are not geared towards an extended dining experience. We found the food to be seriously thought out, with simple and fresh ingredients that really bring out the food's flavors. The menu offers a different take on Italian cuisine and is certainly not of the typical veal parmigiana variety.
Appetizers:
Ricotta di Pecora with nepitella pesto/toasted walnuts- outstanding. The toast points that came with it (Italian bread w/olive oil on the pannini press were a mini meal).
Carpaccio di manzo- wow, different, but soooo good.
Entrees:
Gnocchi with pomodoro & speck- cooked to perfection and the speck gave the sauce wonderful body and flavor.
Branzino with salsa verde was fresh and flaky.
Desserts:
Tiramisu- this is not tiramisu as you know it. It was beautifully presented, with homemade lady fingers, mascarpone cheese and an out of body experience.
Gelato alla Meringa-baked meringue, home made sorbets/gelato and berries-truly outstanding.
Needless to say we enjoyed Osteria Morini's food, presentation and quality. A good find in Soho.

Great place to dine at the Bar. I travel to on business to NYC frequently from Atlanta, and this is now my favorite dining spot in the City. I can sit at the bar, enjoy the great menu and the people. Meghan at the bar is the best and will take care of you.

Oh my God.. The seafood pasta is one of the best dishes I have ever had in New York. I love the location of this place and look forward to it's future success.

The restaurant lives up to its billing as a casual Italian restaurant with an emphasis on a home-style family meal. The furnishings were eclectic, mismatched and you really did feel like you were sitting in someone's dining room just off the kitchen. Even the serving plates and dishes had that floral pattern that everyone associates with your grandparents or something you grew up with.

The ambiance here is lively and relaxed, and the scene is an interesting combination of businessmen, couples, hipsters, and foodies.

Came here for the half off pasta Monday deal and it was great! I love the fusilli we got! The texture of the noodles were just right and the sauce was very flavorful. We also got the squid ink one which was good too but not as good as the fusilli. Would definitely recommend coming here Mondays the deal was great!

Went as a group of 4, got 4 pastas and a couple apps. The food was all pretty good but nothing was particularly mind blowing. Of the pastas my favorites were the pumpkin ravioli and the fusilli. Based on portion sizes of the savory dishes, we got 3 desserts which were absolutely massive. The tiramisu is good but not liquored enough. Loved the olive oil cake, and could’ve skipped the affogato. The place was quite lovely and cozy, very much like a restaurant that has been buzzy for a long time.

Came here today with the family for a very early dinner for my wife’s birthday. We visited the one in Miami and had wonderful food and experience, and we want to see if the NY location can offer the same. Glad we did because this meal did not disappoint. Let me share the highlights of my memorable culinary journey: First and foremost, the carbonara was a revelation. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of freshly cracked black pepper. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors left me speechless. Next up, the truffle ravioli. Oh, what a treat! The delicate, handmade pasta encased a luscious truffle-infused filling that melted in your mouth with every bite. Each ravioli was a burst of earthy goodness, and my 10 year old son ate the entire plate, savoring every morsel. Surprisingly, even the simple dish of spaghetti and meatballs was a standout. The meatballs were tender and seasoned to perfection, and the tomato sauce had a comforting homemade taste that reminded me of Italy. And let's not forget the grilled sea bass with artichoke Caponata. This dish showcased the chef's expertise in preparing seafood. The sea bass was grilled to perfection, resulting in a delicate flakiness that paired wonderfully with the tangy and savory artichoke Caponata. It was a symphony of flavors on my palate! The overall ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal with loved ones or friends. The service was attentive, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a delightful dining experience. To sum it up, this restaurant offers a delectable journey through Italian cuisine. Whether you're a pasta lover or a seafood enthusiast, there's something on the menu that will captivate your taste buds. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience filled with delicious food and impeccable service. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights!

Came here with some friends to try and catch the Industry Pasta night, which they still have on Wednesdays from 4-6pm. Sadly, we didn't get to enjoy the discount since our waiter didn't know about the promotion and misinformed us that it had ended. Make sure you ask your waiter to double check with the manager if they refuse to honor the promotion. The pasta dishes were $27 each. However, they do make all their pastas fresh, in house, so I think it's worth the price! We opted to sit outside since it was a nice day but honestly, I think sitting inside is a much better choice because the AC is strong, and the interior looks very classy and elegant. Perfect for a romantic date night, especially given the dim lighting. We ordered calamari for the table and it was so crispy and delicious! Portion size was fair and since it was happy hour, it was $12 instead of $17. Our waiters were very attentive and kept popping in to see if we needed anything. We took our time with the calamari since we were chatting, but our pastas were still served warm. I ordered the Cappelletti, a dish with cute little truffle cheese ravioli sitting in a butter sauce with prosciutto. I wish there was more prosciutto and it hadn't been cooked, but that's a minor detail. The ravioli were so soft and a dream to eat. The atmosphere and food here make for a great dinner. Their menu also has pizzas, meat dishes, and cheese plates which I will surely be back to try.

Came here for brunch with a few friends. Service was absolutely impeccable. We all ordered pasta; I got the bolognese and it was good but not stellar. The pasta was the star, but the sauce fell a bit flat in taste. Would def go back to try another dish since it was generally a lovely visit.

I love this place so much. Came here for a 12:15pm Saturday brunch with friends and it was completely empty. But I have no idea why. Everything is so delish and the location is right by some of the neighborhood’s most popular brunch places (Jack’s Wife Freda, I’m looking at you!), but those places have crazy waits. We got a salad to share which was so fresh and then each got a pasta. My carbonara was so good and the iced coffee I ordered was nice and strong. Our server was kind and kept our waters full. I’ll be back soon!

A great little Italian spot, the food isn’t traditional but it is AMAZING. Prices are mediocre but Everything we tried had great flavor, not to mention the service was fast and friendly AND the ambiance is relaxing and low key. Highly recommend.

Food and wine were so good! We shared a salad (insalata mista) and three entrees: lobster tortelli, fusilli with ragù, and veal cutlet with prosciutto cotto and spinach. Service was unfortunately very slow, especially given that the restaurant was only about half full. A bit loud, but the atmosphere felt authentic to a traditional Italian osteria.

Absolutely amazing, every dish was perfect including the dark chocolate gelati. Special mention for the octopus, I don’t usually like octopus but decided to take a leap of faith and it was some of the best octopus I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend for the days you don’t know what you’re craving!
