Had the original Cheesecake and the spiced pumpkin cupcake. The icing was a bit toooo sweet! Nice little place, gets crowded. Great ambience for a quick stop.
Really friendly staffs, and good atmosphere in the shop. The cupcake was quite sweet. Better to order a bitter coffee to combine it. The hot chocolate we ordered was great, the better drink in cold winter.
Oh man! This was easily one of the best, if not the best, red velvet cupcake I've ever had. It was perfectly baked, moist and flavorful. The icing was the best part. I usually like a red velvet with buttercream, and this was cream cheese, but it wasn't a heavy overly sweet cream cheese. It was perfection. The atmosphere of this place is super neat and charming. A definite must if you're in the area.
Little Cupcake Bakeshop was founded in 2005 in Brooklyn. They have expanded to two locations, one in Brooklyn and one in Nolita. We visited Nolita and loved the feel of the bakery (it just feels like a real bakery). They had an amazing assortment of cupcakes, it was hard not to buy one of everything! We got ours to go, but there are a bunch of tables for you to sit at and eat your sweets right away.
Vegan cupcakes?
That is not what I ordered. I did originally come here for that.
Whoops.
The store itself is clean. The service is prompt and friendly. Seating wise it can is fine as long as there aren't any big parties camping out.
I came in after a Manhattan Elite Event next door and quiet frankly I was craving sweets. As I told the counter girls, I am VERY particular with my Key Lime. If I had it my way, 95% key lime, 1% pie, 4% happy dance.
The Key Lime Pie has a very pronounced sour cream taste when you first bit into it but it smooths out with a well balanced key lime taste as your bite gets closer to the crust.
Next, I ordered the Banana Blueberry Gluten Free Vegan Oat Loaf. Longest name for a Banana Blueberry loaf in the shape of Boston Market cornbread. I expected this to be semi firm on the outside and moist on the inside.
It was hard all the way through.
The flavors worked well but the hardness of the loaf made me think that either it was going stale or that they simply over baked it. Was it still good? Yes. But I probably wouldn't order this again.
Now, that I got cotton mouth...I did the only thing I could think of; order hot tea.
They don't have a long tea list but I chose a small Paris tea after a brief chat with the barista. Nice tea flavor although I kind of expect the black currant flavor to be more prominent even if it isn't sweet. It did take care of that cotton mouth.
Overall, they have some goodies that might satisfy but until I try their Nutella Banana Chip cupcake or their Green Tea cake, I can't give a full recommendation. If you are in the area, why not?
FAN.
This place is a cupcake and cheese cake lovers paradise. With a huge selection of sweets the Little Cupcake Bakeshop has something for everyone. They even offer gluten free and vegan options. I tried the princess's dream cupcake and fell in love with just one bite. What amazed me the most was how light and fluffy the icing was. Perfectly delicious in every way!
Had the carrot cake. Wasn't anything special. It's all in the frosting but was just ok. Had better for sure... they have some really good organic juices in the fridge worth checking out
Sometimes it is very hard to find decent a gluten free bakery in this amazing city. Although they are not 100% gluten free on all products they do have a couple of good things for us. Never tried their cupcakes but had the GF chocolate chip cookies for the first time and was pretty amazed of how good they actually taste. Very chewey and just delicious!
It was a surprise to me in a good way.
At first I thought it was expensive, but the cheese cake was chunky and generous, and the cupcakes were very flavorful.
The cupcakes were the best I have ever had!!
Is this what American sweet treats are all about? Was my impression, and I would like to have it again tomorrow!!
The restaurant is not large, and the counter and seats are close together, but there is a homey atmosphere and you can have a good time.
Delicious! Love this little cake shop. As Nolitians we love coming here. (Wish they had a local discount) Reasonable Latte price considering surrounding prices. The Chocolate cake is worth the hype 🍩🍪🍫🍿🍫
Little Cupcake Bakeshop in New York is a delightful destination for anyone with a sweet tooth. Known for its outstanding selection of baked goods, this charming bakeshop offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The quality of their cupcakes, cakes, and other treats is exceptional, with each bite delivering a burst of homemade flavor. It’s a perfect spot for indulging in a sweet treat or picking up a special dessert.
Cute bakeshop in downtown Manhattan. Christmas decor was tasteful and cheery. Coffee was delicious and the baked goods were equally tasty.
Absolutely delicious. Indeed a little cupcake shop, limited seats and tables but shouldn’t stop you from grabbing a few cupcakes. They have a variety of vegan options to pick from. The vegan cupcakes and cookies were moist and perfect with a fresh cup of coffee! Recommend trying their lemon cupcake and chocolate chip cookie. 🤤
their cheese cake is really good, especially the tiramisu cheese cake. cup cake is okay, a little bit sweet for Asian taste!
My friends and I found this cute bakery while searching for a hot cup of tea and delicious sweets. It’s a very small, nicely decorated place. When we entered, Ahmet made eye contact with us and greeted us with a big smile. He was very attentive and helpful, assisting us in choosing our desserts and tea options. We will definitely come back.
Got the lemon, strawberry shortcake, and red velvet cupcakes and a regular rice krispy. All were delicious and the cake itself is very moist!
If you’re not eating it all right away, I recommend thawing it out once you refrigerate it because it gets very hard (both frosting and cake).
Would come back when craving cake-like desserts!
We ordered red velvet and carrot cupcakes and raspberry and Nutella cheesecakes. Everything tasty. We went on a Sunday morning, so there was no line, and the attendance was super quick.
IMO, you can skip the chocolate cake. It claims to be the best, but I don’t agree. HOWEVER, The Good Humour Strawberry Shortcake Cake is unmatched. It’s truly unique and absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been to Little Cupcake many times (honestly, no idea why I’ve never left a raving review, it’s been long deserved) and as much as I want to give another slice a try, I always succumb to the beauty and allure of this cake. Maybe I’ll spoil myself and get two slices next time because there’s no way in hell I’m walking out without this one. Am I exaggerating? Nope. A little too much for a piece of cake? Go ahead, take a bite and you’ll see what I’m talkin’ about.
