The steak here truly is superior. Always highest quality and cooked to exactly your liking. They do the classics perfectly, like creamed spinach, whipped potatoes, shrimp cocktail. The staff is extremely professional while also being friendly, and the space has just the right old school vibe. Cocktails are reliable and good.
The only two strikes against it are the booths, in which way too many tables of two are crammed in. You’re on top of each other. Plus, the bench is in need of an update because you sink so far down.
The other thing is the wine list. Obviously there’s a large markup, like everywhere else, but this feels excessive for what’s a pretty basic wine list. They’re even selling Duckhorn for $130. We’ve been on a tear of eating at higher end restaurants because of people visiting us, and this was the only place that didn’t have decent options under $100. Seems to need an overhaul. Or maybe it’s purposeful since the business and BNT crew is willing to pay it?
Strip House Steakhouse is a true gem. Their straightforward yet impressive menu, extensive wine selection, and delectable appetizers and sides set the stage for an exceptional meal. The dry-aged porterhouse for two and New York strip were cooked to perfection, and the service was attentive. The classic New York ambiance adds to the charm. Highly recommended; I'll be returning for sure.
I went there for restaurant week with my friends. We loved the ambience, service, and the food was amazing. It was Tuesday so there were not many people so we didn't feel rushed and enjoyed our time together. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. Food was really delicious and it was enough. We thought the steak was on a small side but we were satisfied after we finished all 3 courses.
I had tuna, steak and their famous chocolate cake, and espresso martini. Pictures are included.
