The tables in the back are fairly private, with doors and slats separating each from the other. Pretty cool space. The sushi lunch special was a pretty good deal and tasted good. They had a couple ramen lunch specials too. They had a lot of sale options to choose from. Good place to meet with a small group, easy to speak to each other in the smaller space, not sure about the rest of the place, but I'd imagine it's similar during the week. Good lunch spot, but probably not great for a quick meal.
Amazing Ramen and Gyozas !
Way better than Ippudo restaurant in quality, quantity and as well regarding the prices.
Staff was so friendly and paying attention.
I will def come back again without a doubt !
Nice little place off 51st. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The food was pretty good we got some Ramen and steamed shrimp dumplings. The prices are what you would expect for a location in the city, non the less it is worth a trip if you want a nice meal without the large crowds that come with being around Time Square.
Excellent sushi, shashimi and maki. Reasonably priced and good service. But I had a bad experience last time I are there and it might have been because the "boss" was off. It was a small crowd, so I figured to be in and out as usual. No, the employees were engaged in their conversations and it took a while. I ordered finally and soon enough my main dish arrived. I had already noticed that my waiter did not ask if I wanted soup or salad, so as I was enjoying my main course, here comes the soup and salad. You know, when I treat myself, I look to enjoy the amenities of eating out. Which includes good food and consistency. Nppori, you're slipping!!! Thus I'm taking away one star. But you are the best sushi joint in the area!...9/3/20.Guess what? I ate at Nippori today, and even though they are suffering from the loss of business due to the Coronavirus, their sushi is still on the money. They practice social distancing and of course have outside seating. I remember before the virus, I would just walk on by because of the crowd. I used to work in the area, so I would drop in for a bite before work. I don't live in Manhattan, but a train ride to support them is no big deal. If you like sushi and other Japanese dishes, help these guys make a comeback. Like other establishments, they are giving discounts and hoping for a return of their customers. I visited again yesterday 10/16/20 and had my favorite, sushi platter (chef selection), and shumai. Delicious. Talk about social distancing! Only one other couple was there and they were about 24 feet from me!
My wife and I wanted a quick fulfilling bite so we first ventures over to Ippudo. The place was packed with over 1 wait. I don't feel the need to feel the hype and wait online with others so we went to another nearby shop, Nippori. We were seated right away and we immediately browsed and ordered our food. The pork belly sliders were warm and flavorful. Great way to start since the meat was tender and the sauce was just right to compliment the entire package. Our noodles, Nippori Ramen and Tan Tan Noodles, were to die for! The broth was rich, the noodles portion were spot on and the toppings were satisfying. Come again for sure!!!
Very authentic Japanese izakaya style place. Just like those you saw in the Tokyo alleys. Beer, sushi, bbq are all great. Perfect place to bring co-workers here after long day of hard works, and get your life back.
Amazing food and service. Dinner on a weekend night try to get there before 630 pm. Happy hr menu from 5 to 7.
We ate here twice during our trip to NYC, and both times it was amazing. The sushi is fresh and well made, the staff and friendly and service is great. I can highly recommend the special sushi dishes. We had the red dragon and Alaska rolls, and both were very tasty. The back dragon is also to die for!
We originally planned to have our dinner at Ippudo Ramen, just one block away but because of 1~2 hrs of wait time, we decided on Nippori instead. We ordered Samurai & Sutamina Ramen. The red samurai ramen is just too spicy and it numbed the tongue. The non spicy samurai version was much better! Sutamina ramen was ok but my kids didn't like the pork. Gyoza was reasonably good. Overall okay but no wow factor that will attract us back. 20% gratuity was automatically included in the bill.

Was here yesterday the food was decent nothing to brag about but the service was incredible… The hot sake and beer very affordable for the area. Avoid the octopus appetizer in the picture, not fresh at all but management handled it properly
