This spot is known for innovative cocktails and an elegant, rustic atmosphere. With a happy hour special that offers a $2 discount off ANY alcoholic beverage, it’s no surprise that many residents think of it as their favorite neighborhood bar. Popular dishes include the crab cakes and lamb sliders (appetizers) and the 35-day dry-aged prime beef burger (entrée). The Grange is open for lunch and dinner daily, stays open late (4 a.m.!!!! but the kitchen closes earlier) and serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
The boy and I get excited when new places open up in our neighborhoods - his moreso than mine, since Hamilton Heights, ever so abundant with fast food and fried fish (which are delicious!), lacks for some nicer fare. Enter The Grange Bar and Eatery , open for maybe a month or so now, fully cooking with gas (they initially opened with a "Coned menu" that required no heat). The place is rustic and adorable and bustling with lots of white people, who are probably the only people really looking forward to this place in the neighborhood, because of their price point. Some complaints have been made on Yelp and Facebook regarding their pricing. The cocktails range from $10-$13 or so, beers come in tall glasses for $8, and the menu tops off in the mid-$20s range for the steak and fluke. These prices are typical for anything in lower Manhattan, but are a bit upscale for the area. The best bang for your buck on the menu is the hamburger, a grass-fed blend of brisket, short rib and sirloin,
Amazing food! I was very impressed with the service. Our waiter was super nice. The waiters fill your glass before you even need to let them know! The mimosas... Omg tasty! I will definitely go again! It has clean bathrooms, and the set yo is so nice. Chill vibes, perfect for a date or brunch with your friends.
Come for brunch today but we didn't like the options very much. Last time we had dinner and love the foods. Will have to come back again for dinner. The service is excellent.
Delicious food. Brunch or dinner, no matter the meal. Great service, great drinks, GREAT price. Best time is to come Sunday night and get the roast dinner and listen to some jazz.
Love this place! Everything is so delicious and the service is top notch! Our server, Tim, was nothing but amazing. He is very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. This place has great menu choices and nice atmosphere. Will be back soon!
Arrived at 9:45am for brunch - no wait at all, although the restaurant was crowded by the time I was leaving at around 10:45am.
Food was good and creative but not great. We had the almond French toast and the chicken and waffles. It seemed like several of the dishes were trying to do too much at once, so some of the flavor profiles were diminished. The cornbread waffle on its own was great. So was the fried chicken. But after layering on a fried egg and dousing it all with a cheesy sausage gravy, it lost any crispness it could have started with. The gravy really took over each bite.
The almond French toast was straightforward and good.
On prior occasions, we'd had the grilled cheese with tomato soup (which is a fantastic combo), but it isn't served on the brunch menu (only lunch/dinner/late night).
Staff was helpful and very friendly.
A friend of mine wanted to do dinner in Harlem and asked me to look up places. I found this spot and we went with it because it had vegan options. When we arrived I put my name on a 20 minute waiting list. It took some time for us to find parking which is the story in NY. When we got to the restaurant it was a cute ambiance. We were served by a man named Vladimir and he was super nice and attentive.
I order the sangria, which wasn't on the menu, and vegan bolognese. My friend ordered the sirloin and brisket burger and rose. I really liked my sangria and my friend said the rose was ok. When the food came out my friend's burger looked amazing and he enjoyed it. My food looked good too and it wasn't bad. I had to add hot pepper flakes for some spice. All in all we had a good experience.
I've stopped a couple times before for cocktails but never really for dinner and the cocktails have been pretty delicious. This time on a whim decided to go in for dinner and I wasn't disappointed. Our server, Tim, was very chill and seasoned and he took every opportunity to keep us in the know of the menu. The first round of drinks were great and delivered in a timely manner which is great on a busy Saturday night uptown. The appetizers were very tasty and perfect portion sizes. Definitely recommend the Pork Belly Sliders and the Truffle Mac & Cheese. The Pre-Fix option was truly a great value and I'm glad Tim pointed me into that direction. I ordered a perfectly cooked Steak Frites entree followed by a wonderful slice of cheesecake. I ended dinner with an excellent Espresso Martini.
One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Great menu, amazing food, lovely cocktails, large selection of beers, great ambiance! My fiancé and I come here time and time again! Sundays they also have live jazz music which is very calming, before the start of the next busy week. We will be coming back here again for many years. ☺️
We loved this place! All the dishes were delicious. And our waiter Willie was funny and super efficient! We had a great time during our pandemic meal!

Came here for brunch with my partner and his friend. Such a great experience! First of all, the price is unbeatable! I believe it is around 30 for bottomless + main dish. Second, the food was delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. Highly recommend for Saturday or Sunday brunch!
