Raines Law Room in Manhattan is like stepping into a secret club from the Roaring Twenties! The entrance, with its hidden doorbell, makes you feel like you're in on something exclusive and cool.
As a person of color, hitting up fancy places in the city can sometimes feel iffy, but Raines Law Room was a breath of fresh air. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which instantly put me at ease.
Inside, the place is decked out with comfy seats and moody lighting. The snacks they serve are just the right match for their wine selection ( which is limited, but they have amazing cocktails).
Raines Law Room isn't just a bar; it's like time-traveling to a classy, inclusive hangout where you're treated like a VIP. It's an awesome spot in Manhattan that's all about great vibes, good drinks, and making everyone feel at home. Shout out to the host V for good vibes and good energy!!
Raines Law Room is a super classy, intimate speakeasy serving up some awesome cocktails. It can get pretty packed so it's smart to make a reservation. If my husband and I stop by on a whim and get a table we always feel so lucky. Even if there's a wait, it's worth it for a spot at our favorite speakeasy.
Once inside, you feel like you're back in the 20s. The menu of cocktails is quite extensive, but is broken up by categories so you can easily find the type of drink you're looking for. As expected, Raines is pricey with drinks costing around $19. However, everything I've ordered here has been great, and no matter how busy it is, I've also always had great service. Next to each table is a bell you can ring for your server so you are never without a drink for too long!
Raines is a great evening spot when you're looking for a bougie cocktail.
Great cocktail menu in this speakeasy style cocktail bar, I tried the "Whiskey Business" and "Eightfold Path", both of which I greatly enjoyed. They have switches at the table to call over the waiters, which is a nice touch. You can book for certain evenings, although we managed to get the last two-person table late on a Sunday night. The entrance is partially hidden down an undercover staircase - press the doorbell for entry. The cheque came to about $80 for two cocktails each, which I felt was quite reasonable for the quality of drinks, service and atmosphere.
