Heidelberg is a family favorite of mine and my adult son, his German-born wife, and my daughter. It is a little expensive, but the food is top notch authentic German fare. My favorite is the Sauerbraten! Lots of great German beers on tap, too. They don't take reservations, so get there early and expect to wait a bit, especially on weekends and during Oktoberfest and the winter holiday season. It is worth the wait. Always a warm, inviting, lively atmosphere in Heidelberg, reminiscent of a gathering of friends and family in the old country!

Best German food in the city!!!! Great beer selection. Bratwurst is the best I've ever tasted.
