This is one of those very quaint, old restaurants in the the Upper East side of NYC.
We ate prosciutto on toasted baguette, had a shot of Espresso, and an apricot cookie.
The service was friendly. The sandwiches came out fast and were delicious.
Called for a reservation for 7:45PM and arrived 20 minutes early with no issue! They let us sit wherever we wanted and were attentive as soon as we sat.
The food was good, nothing crazy. Big portions and not too greasy. The seasoning itself was different than most Italian restaurants, it tasted like their version of Italian food.
The tap water they give tastes awful, I overheard another person complain about their water tasting weird!
The gelato and the pecan tart for dessert were delicious, a nice topper for a big pasta meal.
Overall can't complain about my experience, atmosphere outside was calm and warm for a Sunday night in the city. Although, it was kinda pricy $$$ considering it wasn't authentic Italian tasting in my opinion, but again, it was still delicious.
Amazing hidden gem lunch spot. If you are walking Central Park definitely come here in the afternoon for lunch. Service was great and the Carbonara and baked lasagna were wonderful.
