Showed up without reservations on Thursday night, got seated immediately since the show crowd had pretty much cleared out. Bottled wine selection was very good, but the wine selected by the glass was limited.
The house specialty steak was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly (39oz was perfect for 2, even though menu says its for 1).
I do not like when waiter staff hovers, and they had that tendency.
Food is GREAT I highly recommend it!
amazing place with great food, very reasonable prices especially for the theater/ time square area. Our food came out and smelled so good a group who just finished actually said out loud " OMG, IT smells so good I want to eat again". The steaks tasted as good as they smelled and the pasta was perfectly cooked, and was hand made and seemed relatively fresh also. The wait staff were courteous and friendly and it provided a nice atmosphere.
This is a cool place on restaurant row. I love the steak, wine list, and they always have great specials. whether dressed up or down this is a really good value a few blocks off Times Square. Great service. Plenty of night life right on the same street.
I felt like I need to update this posting. I have been back several times both business and pleasure. I like it for business as an alternative to the "standard" steak houses. So much more variety and same quality service.

Attentive service, tasty food, on target desserts and tasty wine (from Italy, no less) at less than $100/pp (after tip).
Came here with a few friends last week where we chowed down on mussels (okay), calamari (tasty, could have been more crispy) and 2 porterhouses for 2 (every bit as tasty as they say although I've had better meat elsewhere). All were fans of the side of creamed spinach that came with our steak dinners. Of sides ordered, my sauteed mushrooms were most quickly devoured but we weren't fans of the mashed potatoes (tasted of the instant/box variety) and the fried artichokes (crispy when warm, but when chilled- tough and kind bland)
Our server was very good, frequently coming by our table to ensure our glasses (both wine and water) were never empty, even ensuring we ordered a 2nd bottle to split.
Highlight of dinner was the desserts. SO and his friend both got the chocolate pudding with lady finger. By the way they devoured it, I'd say it was good. Another friend got the tartufo (incredibly delicious) and I enjoyed my mixed fruit tart, served on a flaky shell.
Overall, dinner was a good experience. We did not feel rushed, even as the restaurant filled up and the food was decent. If I ever find myself in the theater district with time & money to burn, craving steak, I wouldn't mind paying a revisit.
Read some good reviews prior to making our reservations, Couldn't be more Happy with our choice, This Place is AWESOME.
The Appetizers were Outstanding, the Meals (Filet Mignon, & Veal Picata) Were Fabulous, the sides were Great as well, Portion sizes are perfect.

We took our family (12 people in all) to Bistecca Fiorentina and had an impeccable meal. The service was fantastic and the food was awesome! We ordered the Bistecca steak! It was cooked perfectly! George is the best!
The best steak we had in New York served by caring staff with a personal touch. The dry martini was not in its element but the prosecco was - and the delicate sauce moistening the bistecca Fiorentina (one was enough for the two of us) was subtle but not bland. We were there between the pre-theater crowd and the post-theater bunch and got great treatment!
Service was very attentive. My 8yo didn't care for the spaghetti, without asking, they replaced with some bowtie with spaghetti with bolonaise, which she scarfed down. We had 8 people and I don't think anyone left a crumb.
Had such a great meal and experience here a few months ago while in town visiting. Coming again next week and saw "closed" when trying to make a reservation on open table. Please tell me this is not true!!
Excellent food, excellent service, romantic setting with moderate noise level. Steak is amazing
